As we continued wandering, I discovered that the beautiful spot in La Virginia was abandoned.

As my husband and I take a break from walking around at La Virginia Resort, we spend time for a while in our cottage to eat breakfast. Yet, I was still thinking of the castle we saw. Though it looks a bit far, the pathway there was more assault. Still, I am confident I could manage. I have been walking a lot when I am in the city.
After resting, even with the striking heat of the sun, I kept on bugging the husband to go with me 🤣. He can't say NO!

This time, we went to the other side of the resort Casa de Flores. It is near the entrance and at the bottom part. Going in there, you will be passing through two big swimming pools.

Only a few people occupy this pool, which is ideal for adults. Since most guests are families with kids, they chose to stay in the Dolphin pool.

The bigger one could be used by adults and kids as long as with the supervision of guardians, and the other one is the kids. You don't need to worry about leaving your toddlers.

See? One Mother is enjoying taking photos of her kid(S). Somewhat safe!

Above here is a bench where you can sit down and rest while enjoying listening to the sounds of giggling and laughter.

After a while, we walk straight into that path covered by crawling plants/vines. It looks cute, though, seeing the roots down. Long enough to touch.

Don't you dare pick as someone is standing in a corner, guarding and ready to punch you 🤣

After a few more walks, we reach our first destination.

At first glance, I noticed it was no longer lively compared to the last time I was here—the decoration needed to be repainted.
Yet, I couldn't help but appreciate this lovely flower.

And there, I saw Kingkong! Still remember him? I wanted to be playful, so I asked someone to take photos. Then, instruct the husband to pretend he is trying to get me. I was hosted.

First Take

Why are we both smiling? We are supposed to be scared. Okay, take two.

Haha, still not the one I wanted, but I think much better, lol. What can I say? We don't have a talent for acting.

The sun's heat already hurts, so we continue walking inside to check the swimming pool. Wait! Why was it so quiet? I am expecting to hear the sound of people enjoying it!

Seemed no one is here, I am sure now. Yet. I was curious, so I didn't halt or go back. Guess what? I couldn't believe what this looked like now!

This part used to be one of my favorites because of the scenic view here. Taal Volcano, pine trees, the beautiful cottages, not to mention more peaceful here.

I couldn't help but feel sad! It was the recent Taal eruption last January 2020, followed by the lockdown in March of the same year. Though things are returning to normal now, it couldn't be denied that the previous years? The management was facing a financial crisis. How can they maintain this six hectares resort with low sales? Do they need to pay employee compensation, business tax, and permits? Somehow I understand why this happened. Even the company I am working with, had already closed around 100 stores and outlets the last time I updated my records. The sad effect of COVID!

With a heavy heart, I told the husband we should leave. Better pursue going to the castle,

That may be in my next blog, but we dropped by here before that. The viewing area is where you can best see the beauty of Taal.

It is located behind this.

Imagine if this resort was still maintained? It already had an edge because of the location; it has a natural breathtaking view.

I do hope that management will come up with a good marketing strategy to increase income. Then this might be restored.
