I was excited to write about the evolution of Social Media. I decided to participate in this week's contest. To be honest I was amazed with everyone's opinion. Indeed, many heads are better than one. Hehe!

I remember how complicated it was to connect with our loved ones when we are outside home and worst to those people working outside the country. I sympathized the overseas workers to whom has no easy access to communicate with their respective families. It is costly to make a long distance telephone call. A lot of vendors or companies giving their flyers/templates to present their products door to door. I don't think it was easy to date someone outside your own country. More experiences that reminds us how it was before and what it is now with the new social platform.

As we all know social media is the main mediators of our communication in this era. I love using any types of social media apps like messenger, facebook, twitter, instagram, whatsapp, games chat box, hangout, korean drama chat box, discord and many more. This enables us to connect not only in our own country but in another country also. Who will not love this right? You and me are fully aware there are a lot pros and cons using social media. If you are smart enough to filter things you will be ok.

Two Reasons I Like About Social Media

1. Easy to Communicate
   When the social media evolved many things change also. It is very easy to communicate with my love ones wherever I am now. I like to socialize online or offline. When you are troubled or danger it is easy to call someone's help. I learned new things from different people in the world, we talked about their cultures, traditions, practices, famous places and food, learn the basic language etc., I enjoyed playing games while talking and chatting with them. It is really fun :).
   Now with the new technology lots of business is using social media to advertise and promote their products.There are a lot of people do live selling.
   Before it was hard to get a mixed couples. Now because of popular dating apps a lot of couples found each other thru social media apps.

2. Social Media Creates New Job Opportunities
   There are tons of work you can find thru social media. People are getting jobs as freelancers, youtubers, bloggers, call agents, nft games, crypto, work abroad and etc.,

Two Reason I Feel Bad About Social Media

1. Hacking and Scams
   Based on the stories and experiences of others in social media. A lot of people got hacked and scammed with a lot of money invested on to play to earn games and trading exchange. Once I got scammed from play to earn game I wasn't sure it was legit or not. I invested money I can afford to lose and not to cry over it. Human trafficking online is very alarming also.

2. Children's Safety
   I am worried about the children's exposure in social media. These children cannot filter the pops up adult advertisements, inappropriate YouTube and Tiktok videos for children to watch and learn from. I found children faking their age to register in social app. They got addicted playing games than studying. I don't see children playing sports outside always playing mobile phone.
