When it comes to horror video games I think we all, or at least the vast majority of us know the title Silent Hill. This is an amazing game that has several installments that take us into the mysterious fictional city called in the same way as the game. In this post I want to share a little bit about one of these installments, which is titled:

This installment is a prequel to the first Silent Hill game and shows us the events leading up to it. This time, the protagonist of the story is Travis Grady, a truck driver who; while driving one night decides to make a detour through the outskirts of Silent Hill to reach his destination and on his way, he comes across a burning house. Travis sees the house and hears a scream coming from that place and decides to enter, there he finds a severely burned girl whom he rescues and leaves outside the house, and after that, he loses consciousness. The investigation will begin to discover the girl's whereabouts in the mysterious, cloudy town.

The monsters that appear in this installment range from demonic nurses to Straight jaket, which are bloody creatures that walk as if they want to break free from it. There are also stronger monsters that are the bosses of the various locations that appear in the game, such as the Butcher, which they say may be the past of the already known Pyramid Head. The Butcher is a humanoid wearing a butcher's apron, covered in blood, and carrying a giant butcher knife.

The game has different puzzles that must be solved to obtain some object or element that will be used to advance. Among these puzzles is the anatomy puzzle, in which you will have to look for several plastic organs and place them in order on the empty torso of a doll. There is also the doll puzzle, one called the iron lung puzzle, among others.

Cuando de videojuegos de terror se trata creo que todos, o por lo menos la gran mayoría de nosotros conocemos el título Silent Hill. Este es un juego increíble que cuenta con varias entregas que nos adentran en la misteriosa ciudad ficticia llamada de la misma forma que el juego. Esta entrega es una precuela del primer juego de Silent Hill, y nos muestra los acontecimientos previos a este. Esta vez, como protagonista de la historia se encuentra Travis Grady, un camionero que; mientras va conduciendo una noche decide hacer un desvío por las afueras de Silent Hill para llegar a su destino y en su camino se topa con una casa en llamas. Travis al ver la casa escucha un grito que viene de ese lugar y decide entrar, allí encuentra a una niña gravemente quemada a la que rescata y deja fuera de la casa, y luego de eso él pierde la conciencia. Allí comenzará la investigación para descubrir el paradero de la niña en el nublado y misterioso pueblo.

Los monstruos que aparecen en esta entrega pasan de las enfermeras demoníacas a los Straight-jaket, que son unas criaturas ensangrentadas que caminan como tratando de liberarse de una camisa de fuerza. También hay monstruos más fuertes que son los jefes de los distintos lugares que aparecen en el juego, como el Butcher, que según dicen puede ser el pasado del ya conocido Pyramid Head. Butcher es un humanoide que lleva puesto un delantal de carnicero, va cubierto de sangre y lleva un cuchillo de carnicero gigante.

El juego cuenta con diferentes puzzles que se deben resolver para obtener algún objeto o elemento que se utilizará para poder avanzar. Entre estos puzzles se encuentra el de anatomía, en el que habrá que buscar varios órganos de plástico y colocarlos en orden sobre el torso vacío de un muñeco. También está el puzzle de las muñecas, uno llamado puzzle del pulmón de hierro, entre otros.

Al jugar este juego se puede sentir la tensión y la ansiedad característica que provocan los juegos de terror, además de que nos permite conocer un poco más de Silent hill y sus comienzos. ¡Les invito a jugarlo y disfrutarlo!
