I went for a hive hangout that was hosted in Lagos, Nigeria, and I got to meet a lot of people on hives whom I had only seen their pictures of online. It was an amazing meetup because we had fun, had discussion, and got to understand ourselves better. Two people who came just for fun joined the hive today, and I am happy to see the Hive Naija family grow.

Some do frown upon self votes but mostly when vote values go beyond the dust threshold. Some might advise to remove the vote but I say keep it there because removing it "waste" your vote power that was used on it.
Usually you have to flow/think the opposite of the market. When HIVE goes up, usually everyone moves SWAP.HIVE (layer 2) to HIVE (layer 1)... and the other way around the opposite way. So you just need to have lots of HIVE (layer 1) when the price of HIVE goes up, and you should see some need... like I just did.
And then the other way around when it happens the other way.
HBD is a stable coin, so its price objective is always the same, what I am reflecting here is demand of Hive in layer 1 vs layer 2, which will float more because all Hive Engine tokens are index to it.
play around with some little for a start so you get the point... the beauty of hive is that, you can use 1 #cent to test things... or ONE Million to play hard!

The question is, what if Blackrock were to fork Bitcoin into a "ESG friendly" Proof-of-Stake version, and the majority of nation states, corporations and investment banks (via ETFs) that bought Bitcoin fell in line and adopted it?
Many claim the OG community would sell the forked coins, and the original chain would remain undefeated. But the most recent wealth that has flowed into Bitcoin ETFs doesn't understand well the technicalities of the asset.
With great amounts of capital, Blackrock could pump the fork and dump the original, force Coinbase, Microstrategy, etc to use it, and corral the unsuspecting masses into the forked version.
It sounds far-fetched, but these days anything is possible, and should be considered.
They could simply use the power of fiat, and the people's desire for it, to push the populace towards the fork.
Most people buy Bitcoin these days because the price is going up, not because it's censorship-resistant. If they send the fork's fiat value flying, a lot of ignorant investors would chase it.
I don't think it would affect crypto's long-term success, but could negatively impact Bitcoin, at least temporarily.
40% is just the moment when most ppl will start to be concerned, although I will with just 20%.
The bad side of that approach is the amount of Fiat they will need to use for that, and a big part of it might need to come from newly printed money that will surely end up in Inflation if everything goes wrong.
Worse than all the bad things that negatively impact Bitcoin in the world promoted by governments and politics can't get, hahaha.

I went for a hive hangout that was hosted in Lagos, Nigeria, and I got to meet a lot of people on hives whom I had only seen their pictures of online. It was an amazing meetup because we had fun, had discussion, and got to understand ourselves better. Two people who came just for fun joined the hive today, and I am happy to see the Hive Naija family grow.

We have having some struggle in breaking the daily resistance zones and if you check back, you will see that anytime get into this zone, there is always a resistance. Looking at the 15mins Chart, we can see the inverse hammer 🔨 which is indicating a potential reversal or lost of momentum. But let's see how it goes, if we can gather more liquidity and break above this resistance zone and see if it will start as support for our next move.

Usually you have to flow/think the opposite of the market. When HIVE goes up, usually everyone moves SWAP.HIVE (layer 2) to HIVE (layer 1)... and the other way around the opposite way. So you just need to have lots of HIVE (layer 1) when the price of HIVE goes up, and you should see some need... like I just did.
And then the other way around when it happens the other way.

Looking at Revolut loans and the APY on some DeFi low IL pools...
Wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to get a $10k loan to give these low IL pools some liquidity, some of them have higher than 80% APY on average, which means even with high interest rates I would still be getting around 70% APY for free 😅

After a more careful review (still doing my research), the APY is only that big if I put the range really tight, which means I would probably have to keep reseting the position every time the price between EURC and USDC changed more than 1%... which happens a lot :/
Fees are low on base, but still high enough to hurt long term, and I would basically have to babysit the position.
Maybe not a good option to use a loan for this...

Saw a thought-provoking post about a potential Bitcoin fork on X today...
The question is, what if Blackrock were to fork Bitcoin into a "ESG friendly" Proof-of-Stake version, and the majority of nation states, corporations and investment banks (via ETFs) that bought Bitcoin fell in line and adopted it?
Many claim the OG community would sell the forked coins, and the original chain would remain undefeated. But the most recent wealth that has flowed into Bitcoin ETFs doesn't understand well the technicalities of the asset.
With great amounts of capital, Blackrock could pump the fork and dump the original, force Coinbase, Microstrategy, etc to use it, and corral the unsuspecting masses into the forked version.
It sounds far-fetched, but these days anything is possible, and should be considered.
Nothing is impossible, but i don't see that happening any time soon.
They will need to get at least 40% of the token supply.
Why 40%?
They could simply use the power of fiat, and the people's desire for it, to push the populace towards the fork.
Most people buy Bitcoin these days because the price is going up, not because it's censorship-resistant. If they send the fork's fiat value flying, a lot of ignorant investors would chase it.
I don't think it would affect crypto's long-term success, but could negatively impact Bitcoin, at least temporarily.
40% is just the moment when most ppl will start to be concerned, although I will with just 20%.
The bad side of that approach is the amount of Fiat they will need to use for that, and a big part of it might need to come from newly printed money that will surely end up in Inflation if everything goes wrong.
Worse than all the bad things that negatively impact Bitcoin in the world promoted by governments and politics can't get, hahaha.
