Well there is a first time for everything!

Yesterday evening we got an email from the school of the oldest that he had a low risk contact with somebody who did test positive and on Covid!

That’s is. An attachment with lots of advice and restrictions was added to the email. Nothing more, nothing less.
No name of the contact probably due to privacy reason. But that makes it hard for parents to estimate the possibility that he did get infected.
Probably it is a classmate who was absent from school yesterday. A classmate with which he doesn’t have real contact. In the email it states that the risk for him is very low.
But what do you have to do then. Pull him back from football? Cancel the mother’s day walk today?

All hard to tell. So we decided to go to the pharmacy and buy some self tests. These tests are 80% accurate. This combined with no symptoms should be enough not to cancel everything.

We are so close to be vaccinated. Only 1.5 months more to go. And like all of you the lockdowns and restrictions start to wear us out!
But there is light at the end of the tunnel, which should give us hope!

Cheers,
Peter
