The film setting

1️⃣For many of us, film setting is everything; that is, where the scenes are shot. Which do you prefer, the village style or city style? Tell us your choice and why.

Everybody have their different preference in choosing a film setting, some like the village setting while for others it is the city setting. As for me, I always appreciate both the village style and city style film setting for different reasons because they both portray different themes.

When choosing between the two film settings, we have to know that the both options have different unique advantage to offer and evoke different atmosphere that can greatly improve the storyline and pass the message to the viewer. The both settings have their own different charms because the mood they bring is different mood.

Like me that I like k-drama, both their village style and the city style always came with their own charms that will make you crave for another settings like it, the catering of different mood, the tone and narrative are always appealing.

I have a friend that doesn't like watching the city setting of k-drama for the reason best know to her but for me, I will always appreciate any setting considering the mood and the objective of the film.

The film set in village always focus on the traditional theme, community value and pursuit the slower pace of life, it contribute to the overall sense of coziness and also it can make the viewer to seek a more introspective and want an experience that is relate to what they watch.

The same thing with the city setting, it always provide a vibrant and fast pace lifestyle which can enhance the sense of excitement and diversity in a film. The city film setting always portray the theme like ambition, anonymity and the complexities of the modern life.

The decision between village and city setting is not really mutually exclusive state it all depend on the specific objective of the film and the emotional impact on the viewer.

I choose the movie I watch either it is city setting or village setting base on the mood I am. Whenever I choose the village setting, maybe I need to immerse myself in a different world from where I am, watching a village movie take me to see more about the beauty of the rural life, different life that I can never imagine. While choosing to watch city setting fro the ambition, to see more about the complexities of the modern city, the advancement of the technology.

I'm not really that selective when it comes to watching movies, I choose the movie base on my preference, both city and village setting give me different emotions so the both are my favorite.
