Sketchbook Journal 112 - Curly hair

One thing I love about curly hair is that it has a wide range of styling options, you can do both tight and loose waves and also make a big afro out of it....
The way it bounces, the shine it has especially when it is being maintained with the right products, I just love it...

Drawing curly hair can be tricky, it's not as simple as straight hair, those curls and spirals can be interesting to draw and paint, it can go wrong and look weird too.
For this one I lightly sketched the outer ends and curled shapes lightly before filling some specific areas with thicker lines....
