Cosmic creations | Inspired by Nature

I visited a garden to get some aloe vera plants some days back, this little garden looked so beautiful and I saw some colorful butterflies perching and hovering around the flowers and it was such a beautiful sight. I see one or two butterflies all the time at the back of my house where we have some plants but this garden was different.

This work is inspired by that memory but I painted a forest instead, an enchanted one. I almost forgot to enter for this contest for this round but here I am.

I started by choosing a background and painting the tree barks, adding different sizes in different angles to make it look natural. After that I painted something simple to represent the flowers and grasses, I used this as a base before painting the plants later. I added more details to the tree, reduced the opacity of my brush and painted leaves behind them to give it a bushy effect.

I increased the brush opacity and painted leaves on various branches, I used more of darker colours because it's night, I added very few green leaves on the bark of the tree. I then began to paint the leaves, this part took a while because I worked with different shades of green. I wanted the forest to look like an enchanted painting with vibrant flowers and butterflies working together.
