I love Chickens

When I was a kid , I liked to breed chicken. I still remember when my aunt gave me a hen. I took care of the hen. Then the hen laid eggs. All the eggs were hatched.

After 21 days, there were 8 docs if I was not mistaken. Then I had nine chickens.

I was in grade 1 of a primary school at that time
I was about eight years old.

After school I always cleaned the chicken coop. After three months I had young chickens. Then the young female chickens laid eggs and hatched the eggs.

I did not realize that my only hen had been more than 50 chickens. In the big event, I asked my parents to sell some of adult chickens

That is why now I like breeding chickens
I have been loving chickens since I was a little boy.

Now I have 4 young chickens and 2 layers. The growth of the young chickens are very fast. I give intensive feeding.

The young chickens need a new coop. The old wire coop is design for little chickens. I plan to make a new coop from bamboo.

Layers will lay eggs at the age 16 weeks. The nutritious feeding is very important to reach the target of 16 weeks.

After two months old, I plan to feed my chicken with mixture of factory made food and household waste like vegetables and rice.

Household waste are free but I have to make fermentation process of the waste. I use residual process of rice milling. Here , It is called " Bekatul".

Cleaning the chicken feces should be done everyday. The feces will be sting if it is not cleaned up.

Breeding chickens is my hobby. I learn and record all the expense to make excel simulation if I want to plunge into chicken breeding commercially. Do you like chickens?
