You could say I'm a bit of a fan of the Scott Pilgrim franchise. I liked his comic, I liked his movie and I liked his video game. But its Netflix series didn't appeal to me.

Se podría decir que soy algo fanático de la franquicia de Scott Pilgrim. Me gustó su cómic, me gustó su película y me gustó su videojuego. Pero su serie en Netflix no me agradó.

INTRODUCTION

The story of Scott Pilgrim is simple. It is about Scott, a 23-year-old Canadian boy, who lives with his friend Wallace and is a member of a band where he plays guitar.

He has never seen her out of his dreams, she is a complete stranger and he doesn't even know if she exists or not. The enigma is solved when he attends a friend's party. There he meets her and discovers that she is Ramona Flowers. A girl from New York who recently moved to escape her past and start from scratch.

Todo comienza con un sueño recurrente que tiene. Donde aparece una chica desconocida y misteriosa sobre patines. Él fuera de sus sueños jamás la vio, es una completa extraña y ni siquiera sabe si existe o no. El enigma se resuelve cuando participa a una fiesta de una amiga. Our protagonist manages to have a date with Ramona. Everything goes well, but she refuses to talk about her past. Then, they are interrupted by a snowstorm, which forces them to take shelter in Ramona's house. Despite the inconveniences, both are won over by the other, to the point of agreeing to another date.

Nuestro protagonista logra tener una cita con Ramona. Todo marcha bien, pero ella se niega a hablar de su pasado. Luego, son interrumpidos por una tormenta de nieve, que los obliga a resguardarse en la casa de Ramona. Scott invites her to a recital of his band. All goes well, until they are interrupted by one of Ramona's exes. He tells Scott that in order to date Ramona, he first has to defeat her 7 evil exes. After the explanation they start fighting in a surreal way, full of effects and superpowers.

Scott la invita a un recital de su banda. Todo marcha bien, hasta que son interrumpidos por un ex de Ramona. Que le cuenta a Scott que para salir con Ramona, primero tiene que vencer a sus 7 ex malvados. Luego de la explicación empiezan a pelear de una forma surrealista, repleto de efectos y superpoderes.

CRITICS

Up to this point, the Netflix series respects the story almost 100%, but from here, the thing changes roundly, because Scott "loses" and disappears, after facing the first ex. In the comic and in the movie it's simple, he fights the 7 evil exes, beats them and gets Ramona.

CRÍTICA

Hasta este punto, la serie de Netflix respeta la historia casi al 100%, pero a partir de aquí, la cosa cambia rotundamente, porque Scott “pierde” y desaparece, después de enfrentar al primer ex. En el cómic y en la película es simple. Él pelea con los 7 ex malvados, les gana y se queda con Ramona.

From that moment on, I lost a lot of interest in the series. The original story is very good, I didn't understand why change it. They wanted to fix something that wasn't broken. Scott disappears completely, more than half of the series. It was Scott Pilgrim WITHOUT SCOTT PILGRIM. The real protagonist was Ramona Flowers.

A partir de este momento, perdí mucho interés en la serie. La historia original está muy bien, no entendí para que cambiarla. Quisieron arreglar algo que no estaba roto. Scott desaparece totalmente, más de la mitad de la serie. Era Scott Pilgrim SIN SCOTT PILGRIM. La verdadera protagonista fue Ramona Flowers.

There are characters that were devalued and others that were valued. They gave too much prominence to almost irrelevant characters and took away too much prominence from main characters.

Hay personajes que fueron muy devaluados y otros que fueron valuados. Le dieron demasiado protagonismo a personajes casi irrelevantes y le quitaron mucho protagonismo a personajes principales.

They forced a lot of LGBT scenes and relationships. The original story has that and it doesn't bother me, but in this series almost everyone is gay.

Forzaron muchas escenas y relaciones LGBT. La historia original tiene de esto y no me molesta, pero en esta serie casi todos son homosexuales. ![8.png](10)

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the series is not bad, you could say it's a 6 or 7. The animation is excellent and has its strong points. If you didn't see his movie or read the comic, you might like it better.

En conclusión, la serie no es mala, se podría decir que es un 6 o 7. La animación es excelente y tiene sus puntos fuertes. Si no viste su película o leíste el cómic, puede ser que te guste más.

Personally, before the Netflix series, I recommend the movie, which is amazing. Besides, it has aged very well for the years it has. It's still very good and funny. What's more, I'm going to watch it again after writing this, haha.

En lo personal, antes que la serie de Netflix, les recomiendo la película que es increíble. Aparte envejeció muy bien para los años que tiene. Sigue siendo muy buena y divertida. Es más, la voy a volver a ver después de escribir esto, jaja.
