Finding my Writing Rhythm Again
As I settled into the holiday season, surrounded by warmth and familiarity, I was faced with a harsh reality: my writing has been affected due to my inconsistency . The Hive blockchain, once a vibrant platform that fueled my creativity, became a distant memory.
Writing on the Hive blockchain was thrilling at first. I loved engaging with the community, sharing my thoughts, and receiving feedback. But over time, the pressure to produce content took its toll.
I felt obligated to keep writing, but it started to feel stressful. I questioned the value of my work and wondered if I could sustain my writing pace. Promoting my content, responding to comments, and maintaining a presence on the platform exhausted me. I thought I could make up for not writing for days, but I only got lazy as days turned into weeks. Coupled with a not-so-little event that happened which kept me in and out of the hospital for almost a week, I completely forgot about writing
Now, amidst the holiday cheer, I'm struggling to find my writing rhythm. Without my daily routine, procrastination has taken over. Days turn into weeks, and the guilt of not writing grows.
I miss the creative outlet, the sense of accomplishment, and connecting with my audience. But when I try to write, I'm met with resistance: fear of not meeting expectations, struggling to find inspiration, and the daunting task of getting back into the swing.
Getting Back on Track
Taking a break was necessary. It allowed me to recharge, reassess priorities, and rediscover my passion for writing. To regain momentum, I've set achievable goals:
- Start small: Short, frequent writing sessions.
- Change my environment: A new setting can spark inspiration.
- Reconnect with my purpose: Remember why I love writing.
- Seek support: Share struggles with fellow writers.
- Celebrate progress: Acknowledge small victories.
Moving Forward
I have discovered that writing is a journey, not a destination. Burnout and inconsistency are temporary setbacks. If you're struggling like me, know you're not alone.
Take a deep breath, recharge, and rediscover your passion. The words will flow again.
I hope not to relent from now on, as I'm going to take this more serious now.
As I close this post, I'm excited to regain my writing rhythm and reconnect with my audience. Until then, I'll take it one word at a time.
