Habia una vez un hombre viduo que vivia en una casa muy deteriorada en un vecindario moderno. Se llamaba Jack tenia 70 años. Jack habia convivido con su esposa Anna de 65 años la cual habia fallecido recientemente a causa del cancer. Juntos desde que comenzaron su historia habian adoptado un perro callejero al cual llamaron rubio porque era amarillo con una mancha blanca en la punta de la cola.
Once upon a time, there was a very old man who lived in a very dilapidated house in a modern neighborhood. His name was Jack and he was 70 years old. Jack had lived with his 65 year old wife Anna who had recently passed away from cancer. Together since they began their story they had adopted a stray dog which they named blond because it was yellow with a white spot on the tip of its tail.
Anna y Rubio habian fallecido unos meces antes de navidad y Jack habia cumplido 69 años para aquel entonces. Despues de diez años aun Jack escucha el aullido de Rubio durante la noche justo a las 12:00, algo que a la gran parte de los vecinos molestaba y a la otra parte inquietaba porque el sonido era estremecedor y fuerte.
Anna and Rubio had passed away a few months before Christmas and Jack had turned 69 years old by then. After ten years Jack still hears Rubio's howl at night at 12:00 noon, something that bothered most of the neighbors and disturbed the other part because the sound was shocking and loud.
En la ultima navidad de Jack este habia pedido a Santa ver a su esposa y amigo por ultima vez y para eso coloco junto al arbol y la comida de los renos un plato con el postre favorito de Rubio y una silla de madera recien pintada para que su esposa se sentara por ultima vez.
On Jack's last Christmas he had asked Santa to see his wife and friend one last time and so he placed next to the tree and the reindeer food a plate with Blondie's favorite dessert and a freshly painted wooden chair for his wife to sit in for the last time.
La noche de navidad transcurrio, y ambos seres fantasmales inrrumpieron en la morada del pobre anciano el cual los esperaba con ancias sentado junto a la vieja chimenea ya vencido por el sueño y el cansancio de los años. Con una imagen clara casi que realista, la esposa y el perro acogieron al hombre y lo llevaron al cielo y cuentan los que mas cuentan y han vivido en aquel vecindario despues de aquella noche, que aun durante la navidad se escuchan los aullidos del perro y se pueden observar movimientos perturbadores en lo que queda de la vieja casa. La cual aun conserva en mal estado la sala con la silla y la chimenea.
Christmas night passed, and both ghostly beings burst into the house of the poor old man who was anxiously waiting for them sitting by the old fireplace already overcome by sleep and the fatigue of the years. With a clear image almost realistic, the wife and the dog welcomed the man and took him to heaven and those who have lived in that neighborhood after that night, tell that even during Christmas the howling of the dog can be heard and disturbing movements can be observed in what is left of the old house. The living room with the chair and the fireplace are still in bad condition.
