Have a super great heart!
Welcome back again to the temple of grace and mercy. As we all know most of us I inclusive are guilty of being selfish but there are outliers. There are some people who think of others first before taking care of their own interest.Against this backdrop am eager to share true life experiences of my uncle fondly called "uncle shege" by many and his football team mate.Uncle Shege whose real name is Segun odegbami is a Nigerian ex professional footballer known across the world. He was my country mid fielder maestro and played football for many clubs across multiple leagues in the world.Uncle Shege also played for Nigeria in three FIFA World Cup tournaments. He started his career locally at 3SC football club ibadan and his entry into this club was very dramatic and interesting. He once told me these and I quote"Yes,I am a great footballer and all my success is due to the good heart of my friend Felix owolabi. We played together in a youth team. When 3SC recruiters came to observe us, they told us that the striker who scores the most goals would be recruited into the sport academy. That day,we won 3-0.I scored the first and the third goal : Felix scored the second goal!.But then the third goal was the one that impressed everyone.Felix started from the wing, then found himself face to face with the goalkeeper,he dribbled the goal and decided to pass the ball "to me instead of scoring and I scored. This is how I found myself at the 3SC club ibadan Youth team.My uncle continued thus . After the game,I went to him and asked him why he did you do that?.And he replied me"Because I know that you are better than I am and you will go far in life in this game. You needed that push like the kind push most newbie on hive platform needed from the senior hivans. There is nothing as good as having a super great heart

This is destiny helper! and I sometimes wonder if what he told me was really true because it is too good to be true in the part of the world I come from.I is good to develop good heart and help other people. We can because God has given us the connection and resources to do so.My uncle had over 100 caps playing football for the national team and he is regarded today as one of the greatest football players to have emerged from the continent of Africa. All thanks to the goodness of his youthful friend Felix owolabi who made it possible for him to score a vital goal that opened the door for him to be recruited into 3SC football club ibadan in South Western Nigeria state of Oyo.

I was curious to know and meet little known Felix owolabi to ask if what I heard from his friend was true. So I placed a contact call with him and he corroborated the story.According to him his football career ended after that vital match where he enabled my uncle to score the goal.He said he Saw it as an opportunity for my uncle to become a professional footballer but he did what he did because he was sure that my uncle would go far and do better than him.Uncle Shege is like David in the Bible.David knew how much Jonathan had sacrificed for him to become the King of Isreal. He felt obliged to pay him back in appreciation of the goodness of his heart.Unfortunately Jonathan was no more but had a son who was alive but lame.King David showed his gratitude by making sure that Mephibosheth was comfortable for the rest of his life.
My partying shot remember those who helped you and show them gratitude.Begin with your parents, past teachers, your office boss and so on.If the person is no more reach out to his children, spouse, relatives or next of kin.Show appreciation.

Thanks for the update
I like the ending with King David and Jonathan.
The story is not original material, so I have edited this comment accordingly.
It's a pleasure Sir
Thanks for your words of encouragement and acknowledgment

Would you mind explaining why your story does not corelate with the original story of the professional footballer Austin "Jay Jay" Okocha and Victor Agbo, @lanskyjojo, yet all the pertinent details from that story from ODM Daily website for inpiration has been lifted from that story and others and applied to your uncle???

It's just a coincidence
No it isn't, 3 different stories that say the same thing over a 5 year period is not a coincidence. Is that your uncle in that first post I put there?
