Strike is a set back in Nigeria Education
Good evening hivians,
Happy weekend to this lovely community.
Education is the bedrock of any nation, because without being expose in that four conner of the wall you can't express your self in the crowd. This is why education is a right of any child not a privilege but how can we make this possible if our child are being deprive of this right. According to a saying which I do not know the author of this particular proverbs that say 'all finger are not equal' and if you look carefully you will for sure see that all fingers are not equal.
Even in the Bible it is written that the poor will always be among you. But the problem here is the poor are the one suffering. Poor here does not mean people that lack food or the vulnerable. Beside in the case of this post, we are all vulnerable. Because if we have money like some we would have enroll our children in a private or send them to abroad. You can see now that we are the victim and nothing can be done about it we only wait till when our time come but this is bad and discouraging.

Now what I'm I writing in essence
We always say that the youth, the upcoming one are the leaders of tomorrow, how will they become the leaders of tomorrow's when they are being deprived of their right 👉Education it only the rich that their children are not suffering , they have money to sent their children abroad to go and study, some sent them to big private university to study so what about those that their parents do not have such money to pay. Some of our parents struggle to make sure we sail through university so with the little they have, they register their children in federal university.
Strike 👈this deprived a lot of children they are suffering, lamenting. How can a five years course be extended to seven or eight years course, a seven years course extended to ten years course all in the name of strike. And we have people in the three arm of government to speak and implement. (The Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary). They are our mouth piece but what do they do, they rather look for their selfish interests because their children are not the victim, their children are enjoying studying outside the country so it doesn't affect them but who are the one suffering? We.
Now is over 125 days that (ASUU) Academic Staff Union of Universities they went on strike because the Federal Government has fail to meet their demands. First they went on a warning strike that lasted for 14 days that was on 14 February. since the Federal Government refused to attend to them they went on definite strike. Who are the problem here?
The problem is not the teachers, the Academic staff because those people have sacrifice they are the most set of people that sacrifice more. Teaching is not easy without them I don't think we could be anything after our parents, they are the next parent I give it up to them. 👍
But who are the problem here? It is our government that has refuse to put more concern on education sector, is not that this money is not there the money is there but because of their interest they withhold the money to themselves. Because the interest of their citizens is not their priority, so they don't see anything bad in what they do to them meeting such demands is waste forgetting that leaders of tomorrow are suffering here. I wonder in their time if education was bad as it is now if they would have become what they are today. Imagine for the past four months now students are sitting at home, so many of them will have round off their study, some will be in the next semester, some will have defend their projects but unfortunately that has become a nightmare.
But the rich their children are not going through what we are going through. The Leaders of tomorrow want to go back to their studies. The cry of students that are tire of staying at home today is exactly 125 days and they are still counting in this kind of situation what can we do and as we speaking elections is right behind the conner which they believe the youth will come out in a large number to vote. My question is can we still believe this government? Education is every child right let not deprive our up coming leaders this right today. Hope this was helpful
Thank you for your audience stay safe.
