What I always dreamt of (LOH contest#164)
If wishes were horses, in the spirit of "if" I would love to precisely share my experience with you all and relate how I would want my magical wish to come.
Since when I was given birth to we lived in rent, meaning we paid rent all through so upper year my mom came up with the idea that we should start buy a land and start building since we are already a large family and staying in rent wasn't advice able anymore.
With much pressure from my mom, my dad got a land and left it like that in his own view we don't have enough money to feed talk more of to build a house but my mom with much faith started something small in our land, well she didn't tell my dad because he would complain about money so she started building blocks with my uncle.
It wasn't like we had the money but my mom tried all her best to start something, she finally started with the foundation of the building. It wasn't easy because even me was working there too, we left everyday with pains in our body because we packed sands from a stream nearby.
It was later on that my father found out that we were building on the land and he was so happy that he even came with a pack of drink to the site one fateful day without informing us, we continue the building to an extent and stopped because of there was no money to finish the building.
If I had one magical wish for Christmas season, I would wish for the completion of our building with both fencing and furnitures of the house. That we would pack in without anything meaning that there would be a change of wardrobe, a well spaced kitchen and parlour and anything that could be imagined in a house.
Sometimes I think about this wish coming through and I just smile to myself knowing fully well that we would pack into our house one day.

Wow, that's so inspiring of your mother to pursue her dreams of having her own house. I am sure you must have faced many challenges but you managed to bring up the structure. God has brought you this far besides all the odds so have faith, I am sure he will also make a way of completing it. Hopefully 2024 will be a good one for Hive and you may get to do it from the returns of your hard work here.

Wow, I vividly understand how difficult it is to live in a rented apartment. Have faith, the new year will work for your good. I pray your wishes becomes reality soonest!
And your wish will surely come true. Honestly, as I continue to grow I have found importance of having a home that is truly my own, and is also one of the things I wish to achieve in my life as well.
