Today is one of those days when I am daring to venture into new things, such as the initiative from @qurator, where you have to prepare a recipe with 3 Ingredients Yes, only 3! It was not an easy decision, I thought for a couple of hours because I wanted to present something visually striking and delicious at the same time. I rambled on whether it would be a savory or a sweet dish, but ended up opting for a dessert. The truth is that it is a simple dessert, which you can enjoy having on hand what is cornstarch, condensed milk and Oreo cookies. Although, for a presentation version I have incorporated Arequipe (dulce de leche) and chocolate drops, this is only optional and not essential for the specific dessert. In my thoughts, the arequipe and chocolate drops were like spices 🤣, admitted.
The idea of a 3-ingredient dessert is somewhat complex, I had to simplify some ingredients with just one that will unify a pair. In this case, condensed milk played a very important role, because it simplified the use of 3 ingredients, such as sugar, milk and a remarkable flavor. Wonderful isn't it?

Cornstarch is a widely used ingredient in the preparation of various recipes, ranging from soups, creams, sauces, batters, atoles, compotes, breaded and more. This is because its fine texture gives a better consistency and thickness to the mixtures. From a nutritional point of view, it is a special ingredient for those who cannot consume gluten, since it is gluten-free. This quality makes it ideal for preparing biscuits, buns, or any recipe for people with celiac disease.
On the other hand, putting together an atole or cream with condensed milk and cornstarch leaves us with a rich, smooth and subtle result. To add a texture contrast I have added Oreo cookies in pieces, although you could also add whole cookies. As for the decoration, I decided to add the dulce de leche and drops of dark chocolate, however I remind you that it is only to improve the presentation and they do not represent essential ingredients for the main dessert, which is a condensed milk cream.
Ingredients:
- 100 gr. of Corn Starch. | - 14 Oreo cookies. |

For presentation I have added:
Arequipe and Chocolate drops, only optional and are not direct ingredients of the condensed milk cream recipe.
Preparation:
In one of those pots almost inherited by the grandmother, where the atole is not usually stuck. We put a cup and a half of water, to which we add the cornstarch and the condensed milk. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly. After a few minutes the mixture will come to a boil, what we will do then is lower the heat to as low as possible and continue stirring for about 5 more minutes. After this time, remove and let cool. Our condensed milk cream is ready.
Let's put together this simple dessert. We take a shot glass, or whatever we have. Actually I have chosen this, so that the assembly can be correctly appreciated, but in a normal case I would use an orange plastic cup (my favorite cup). We start by placing a portion of cream, followed by Oreo cookies in pieces, continuing with another layer of condensed milk cream. I like the cookie pieces, because they give you a sudden or per bite change in texture and flavor.
Now I put a layer of Arequipe, I have helped myself with a nozzle that I had there. They may as well use a spoon though. I added more Oreo cookies in pieces, in addition to a glass of arequipe. Finally, I only put chocolate drops on it.
The truth is, in a more homemade or different version, you could add some jam made in the heat of your own kitchen. I recently saw that @koto-art prepared a grape jam that would surely go great with condensed milk cream, because the flavor of the latter is subtle and highly combinable. Or perhaps, combine with a chocolate candy? Well, the imagination knows no limits.

Hoy es uno de esos días en que me estoy atreviendo a incursionar en cosas nuevas, tal como lo es la iniciativa de @qurator, donde hay que preparar una receta con 3 Ingredientes, ¡Si, solo 3!. No fue una decisión fácil, pensé durante un par de horas porque quería presentar algo llamativo visualmente y a la vez que fuese delicioso. Divagué entre si sería un platillo salado o dulce, pero terminé optando por un postre. La verdad es que es un postre sencillo, que puedes disfrutar teniendo a la mano lo que es almidón de maíz, leche condensada y galletas Oreo. Aunque, para una versión de presentación he incorporado Arequipe (dulce de leche) y gotas de chocolate, esto solo es opcional y no indispensable para el postre específico. En mis pensamientos, el arequipe y las gotas de chocolate fueron como las especias 🤣, admitidas.
La idea de un postre de 3 ingredientes es un tanto compleja, tuve que simplificar algunos ingredientes con uno solo que unificará un par. En este caso, la leche condensada jugó un papel bastante importante, porque simplificó el uso de 3 ingredientes, como la azúcar, leche y un sabor notable. ¿Maravilloso no?

La maizena es un ingrediente muy usado en la preparación de diversas recetas, que van desde sopas, cremas, salsas, rebozados, atoles, compotas, empanizados y más. Esto porque su fina textura confiere una mejor consistencia y espesor a las mezclas. Desde un punto de vista nutricional, es un ingrediente especial para aquellas personas que no pueden consumir gluten, puesto que es libre de gluten. Esa cualidad, lo convierte en ideal para preparar bizcochos, bollos, o cualquier receta para personas con condición celíaca.
Por otro lado, armar un atol o crema con leche condensada y maizena, nos deja un resultado rico, suave y sutil. Para agregar un contraste de textura he agregado galletas oreo en trozos, aunque también se podría agregar completas. En cuanto a la decoración, decidí agregar el dulce de leche y gotas de chocolate amargo, sin embargo les recuerdo que solo es para mejorar la presentación y no representan ingredientes indispensables para el postre principal, que es una crema de leche condensada.
Ingredientes:
- 100 gr. de Almidón de Maíz. | - 14 galletas Oreo. |

Para la presentación he agregado:
Arequipe y gotas de Chocolate, solo opcional y no son ingredientes directos de la receta de crema de leche condensada.
Preparación:
En una de esas ollas casi que heredadas por la abuelita, donde no se suele pegar el atol. Colocamos una taza y media de agua, a la que le agregamos el almidón de maíz y la leche condensada. Colocamos en fuego medio, revolviendo constantemente. A los pocos minutos la mezcla entrará en punto de hervor, lo que haremos entonces es bajar el fuego a lo más bajo posible y seguiremos removiendo unos 5 minutos más. Transcurrido este tiempo, retiramos y dejamos enfriar. Nuestra crema de leche condensada, esta lista.
Armemos este sencillo postre. Tomamos un vaso tipo shot, o cualquiera que dispongamos. En realidad yo he elegido este, para que se pueda apreciar correctamente el armado, pero en un caso normal usaría una taza plástica de color naranja (mi taza favorita). Iniciamos colocando una porción de crema, seguida de galletas Oreo en trozos, continuando con otra capa de crema de leche condensada. Me gustan los trozos de galletas, porque le dan un cambio de textura y sabor repentino o por bocado.
Ahora coloqué una capa de Arequipe, me he ayudado con una boquilla que tenía por allí. Aunque bien pueden usar una cuchara. Agregué más galletas Oreo en trozos, además de un copito de arequipe. Por último, solamente le coloqué gotas de chocolate.
La verdad, en una versión más casera o diferente podrías agregarle alguna mermelada hecha en el calor de la cocina propia. Hace poco vi que @koto-art preparó una mermelada de uvas que vendría seguro genial con la crema de leche condensada, debido a que el sabor de esta última es sutil y altamente combinable. O quizás, ¿combinar con un caramelo de chocolate?, bueno la imaginación no conoce de límites.
