Back to RPG Tabletop
Long time no see :)
It's been a while since my last blog post. Every now and then I thought about writing something, but you know, procrastination is the queen of bad habits. But finally, it's time to start.
I have a great opportunity for this, I would like to share one of my favorite hobbies, which is RPG games [tabletop]. With some surprise, I noticed that these games are basically absent in our community. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
I run games a bit myself, I've tried several systems from Warhammer, through Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk, World of Darkness, but for years my favorite setting has been Kult RPG. The latest edition of Kult - Divinity Lost, is a system that I could probably run until I die :)
But more on that another time. Today we are playing! So a little short introduction. If you would be interested in the fate of young Rio, let me know, and I will tell you what happened in the session :)
We're playing Mothership, a system with an Alien vibe. I got to play an orphaned 12-13 year old boy. Not long ago, he was a mechanic on a mining station, and in this system, kids have to grow up fast, and mechanics his size work in the service tunnels.
Currently, on the damaged transport ship Texas, he's looking for his friend - an electric cat that the ship's AI, named Ripley, transferred into. The blaster he's lugging around is all that's left from a brave marine. There's something roaming around the Texas, something that got on board through the damaged hull when we escaped the station.
So, young Rio is on the mythical hero's journey. Will he have enough courage and luck to find his friend, who is the only one that treats him like the adult he feels he is? And what about the rest of the crew, who are somewhere on the Texas? And finally, what about the ship itself, drifting among the graveyard of other space ships and warships and slowly being pulled into the gravity well of a nearby planet?
The autumn-winter season for RPGs is getting closer. We missed it a bit and managed to find time for 1-2 sessions, despite moving houses, painting workshops, kids, wives, and travels. All this is possible thanks to Discord, because the GM is in Opole, and the players are in Warsaw, in a village in Lesser Poland, and somewhere between Sri Lanka, Istanbul, and Greater Poland [@maxmaka]
Congratulations @laaca!
You raised your level and are now a Minnow!
