Tough one... but I'd say Beauty and the Beast cos Divine Food is trading under $60 as a new, right? So, if you bought a used one, hard to get > $60 for it? I'm probably missing something here though 😀

very good observation. i actually did buy the Divine Food one, though. If you look close you can see that the "New" bar ends a little before the end of the graph, meaning they're sold out. it's been out of print since 2016 and there is only one other copy available by an FBM seller. why are they selling so cheap? probably been sitting on it for way too long and trying to offload old inventory.

my educated guess is that i'll be able to sell this for $60+ as the last time it sold out, the price was over $70. might take me a month or more to sell, but i should next at least $25-30 on it after costs/fees

Oh shit, yeah! That's the part I missed. Well, now it sounds like a really good. Scarcity, just like in crypto. That's a pretty interesting business, finding gems like that!

yeahnever really taken this approach but after doing this for a couple weeks, i feel like this is the way to truly scale as a book reseller. next step: prep center. then i won't have to touch the inventory ever.

Prep center? Does that mean your are outsourcing the handling of books? Just do buying & selling online?

yep so whatever I order would go straight to them, they handle label and shipping to Amazon. All I do at that point is order and list

aah..That's cool. I'm guessing you won't be missing handling & shipping books by then! 😀

hell no lol it's literally the worst part. usually prep centers cost about $2 per unit. still huge profit room.

Definitely not a big expense! Leaves time to focus on finding those gems to make profit 👌

The value of the first book at a new price is below the $60 so it will be weird to flip it for $60 , so I would go with the beauty and the beast
