It makes sense that the major occupation there is fishing, considering the people live the middle of the major resources needed for fishing: water body. The indigenes are really trying, I certainly can't stay in a place like this, I can't imagine the size of the mosquito that breeds around there, not to even mention the numerous waterborne diseases that can easily spread to everyone

It is noteworthy to know that the community was originally meant to be a temporary settlement before it became permanent.
It is also unfortunate that the residents of the community have to live under unfavourable environmental conditions, which explains your unwillingness to live in such a place. However, their situation can be tremendously improved if the government supports them.
