🎵 Hello Music Lovers of Hive Music community! 🎙

In less 24 hours ago I recorded a musical piece as an entry for Afri-tunes Week 19 Musical Event on Hive. The piece is a Guitar cover of the remix of the song SUGARCANE BY CAMIDOH. Although the choice of the song was motivated by the goal to make @hopestylist love it "by fire by force" 😜, it is also a song I love so well.

I love the vibe and beat of the song, together with it's flow and melody. Although some parts of the lyrics aren't in English, infact I only discovered this when I searched for the lyrics of the song. Most times when we don't know the exact lyrics of songs, we sing rubbish 😅😅 still yet, we vibe hard to the beat and melody.

This song is also a trending Afro-beat song as well, and it is one you'll hear in most parties where they're vibing hard to Afro-beat songs.

In my Cover on Afri-tunes, I used the instrumental of the song downloaded from 430box.com. However, after posting the video I decided to do something different.

I decided to play the same song, however, rather than using an instrumental, I decided to recreate something that would serve as an instrumental or beat to the same song. Then I played the melody over it.

Tools Used

• My Stratocaster baby: I haven't named her yet 🤔 (My Electric Lead Guitar)
• NUX MG-200 Multi Effect Processor
• FL Studio
• Adobe Premiere Pro Software
• Power Director Mobile Application
• Samsung Galaxy A12

Well, for the audio recording mix, I did everything with my Electric Lead Guitar and my NUX MG-200 Multi Effect Processor.

• I used the guitar palm mute technique to recreate the tempo/timing or quasi percussive beat, although I went too fast at the beginning. I removed the delay and reverb from my already set preset.

• I used a flanger mod for the background arpeggiated Chords which is somewhat similar to the one used.

• I tweaked a bass preset from the effect to add bass line in the piece 😅

• Then for the melody and close-by harmony/backing lines I used strong of my favourites already set present for them.

The outcome may not be a good combo 😁😁😁 but I enjoyed what I did, amidst the stress 😁
