(ENG-ESP) Celebrating my Christmas 2023 with my family and good friends

• Good evening dear hivers, I hope you are enjoying a great week.... I was waiting with great excitement the celebration of December 24, that day we woke up very early to make some purchases that were missing, such as the traditional ham bread and some ingredients to prepare the chicken salad, as we love to make it the same day. We did not wait until it was dark to start enjoying the bagpipes and carols, we sang, danced and pleased my mom playing several games of dominoes, we played only 2 hours because we were impatient with the delivery of gifts. This year was different, since the delivery of gifts was not personal, the dynamic was to place all the gifts on the Christmas tree with the names of each person, the first person to receive the gift dedicated a message of thanks. Then the person had to choose a gift from the tree and say the name that corresponded, we spent several hours receiving and delivering, since there were so many gifts. I really loved this wonderful way of receiving Christmas gifts, because you don't get to know who bought you the gift and the gratitude is extended to all the friends and family that are gathered.

• That day was unforgettable, we enjoyed an exquisite dinner, where everyone collaborated in the kitchen... We toasted with our favorite drinks, of course my mom toasted with a whiskey and soda, I toasted with wine, beer and also with some delicious traditional mojitos, I had the good fortune to wake up without a hangover. I was delighted that there were no loud fireworks that night, as our pet Luna was very fearful and started to tremble, our puppy knew we were celebrating Christmas, because her behavior conveyed a lot of joy. When it was only a few hours before dawn, we decided that it was time to sleep... I thank the Universe for this beautiful Christmas, where peace, love and harmony abound... I will remember them forever! I will remember them forever!

• Buenas noches queridos hivers, espero que estén disfrutando de una semana genial... Estaba esperando con mucha emoción la celebración del 24 de diciembre, ese día despertamos muy temprano para realizar algunas compras que faltaban, como el tradicional pan de jamón y algunos ingredientes para preparar la ensalada de pollo, ya que nos encanta hacerla el mismo día. No esperamos que fuera de noche para empezar a disfrutar de las gaitas y los villancicos, cantamos, bailamos y complacimos a mi mamá jugando varias partidas de dominó, jugamos solamente 2 horas porque estábamos impacientes con la entrega de regalos. Éste año fue diferente, ya que la entrega de regalos no fue personal, la dinámica fue colocar todos los regalos en el árbol de Navidad con los nombres de cada persona, la primera persona en recibir el regalo dedicaba un mensaje de agradecimiento. Luego la persona debía escoger un regalo del ábolito y decir el nombre que correspondía, pasamos varias horas recibiendo y entregando, ya que fueron muchísimos regalos. La verdad que amé ésta manera tan maravillosa de recibir los regalos de Navidad, porque no llegas a saber quien te compró el regalo y el agradecimiento se extiende a todos los amigos y familiares que están reunidos.

• Ese día fue inolvidable, disfrutamos de una exquisita cena, en donde todos colaboraron en la cocina... Brindamos con nuestras bebidas favoritas, por supuesto que mi mamá lo hizo con un wiskisito con soda, yo brinde con vino, cerveza y también con unos deliciosos mojitos tradicionales, tuve la buena suerte de amanecer sin resaca. Me encantó que esa noche no se escucharon fuertes detonaciones de fuegos artificiales, ya que nuestra mascota Luna siente mucho temor y empieza a temblar, nuestra cachorra sabía que estábamos celebrando la Navidad, porque su comportamiento transmitía mucha alegría. Cuando faltaban pocas horas para que amaneciera, decidimos que había llegado la hora de dormir... Agradezco al Universo por éstas lindas Navidades, en donde abunda la paz, el amor y la armonía... Las recordaré por siempre!
