Wat Tha Ton, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Hello everyone. Yesterday my wife and I visited Tha Ton Temple, Mae Ai District again. Wat Thaton is a beautiful temple located on several mountains (on an area of approximately 680,850 square meters). In addition to Wat Thaton being very beautiful, this temple is also a famous temple and hundreds of years old temple. This temple is therefore another interesting and charming temple that attracts us to visit again. And due to the large area of the temple, so we can't walk thoroughly the temple last time.
Wat Thaton has no evidence of building a temple for sure. But it is assumed that it was built during the reign of King Phrom the Great built Wat Phra That Sop Fang, or or about after years A.D. 940. This temple used to be abandoned for hundreds of years. And just restored about 90 years ago. In year A.D. 1975 Wat Thaton received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree. This is a brief history of this temple.
The area of Wat Thaton has a total of 9 floors on the mountain.
The first floor has a color gold stupa, a large buddha image hall (viharn), buddha statues and sculptures of various chinese deities. There is also a school for novices and a multi-purpose building.
The highlight inside this buddha image hall (viharn) is a window with images about Buddhism. And many beautiful buddha statues.
The second floor of the temple has a small ordination hall (ubosot). But the ordination hall (ubosot) is not open to visitors. You can walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor or drive to the 2nd floor. There are also other buildings with courtyards.
The third floor of the temple has a large white Buddha image. But I didn't visit the 3rd floor.
The 4th floor of the temple is a courtyard and other buildings. I don't know what building it.
The 5th floor of the temple has a building and a large Buddha image on the building. There is also a monk's cloister.
The 6th - 7th floor will be the monk's cubicle, the meditation building and the courtyard.
The 8th floor of the temple, I think this floor is the highlight of this temple. This floor has a large pagoda, which is a very beautiful architecture.
There are 3 floors inside this pagoda. The first floor of the pagoda inside contains many beautiful Buddha statues and sculptures of Chinese deities. These are some examples of Buddha statues and chinese deity sculptures on the 1st floor.
On the way up to the 2nd floor, there will be chinese paintings.
The second floor of the pagoda has many monk sculptures and many antiques in glass cabinets.
The third floor of the pagoda has buddha's relics and other buddhist saint's relics.
Other areas on the 8th floor, besides the large pagoda, there are many beautiful sculptures and a large multi-purpose building.
The 9th floor of the temple has a large standing buddha image and a beautiful viewpoint.
In addition to the beautiful architecture and sculptures of the temple. Each floor of the temple has a view point. which we can see the view and atmosphere around the temple. And my wife and I enjoy and really like the views of the area. These are some views around the temple. Take a look.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

So love the beauty of the temple. Inside and out you will really tell how amazing this temple is. Every floor is quite interesting. Thanks for sharing this 9th floor structured temple.
Thank you.
Fascinating to see and read about the temple architecture and the stories behind it from other countries. They all look very beautiful and I was surprised to see that it was spread across different parts of the mountain. Kudos to the people and authorities there for keeping the temple still in good condition. Everything looks brand new!
I've never seen a temple like that in real life - it looks pretty awesome, would love to see one !
