Hello everyone. This post, I take everyone to see another temple in Mae Ai District. This temple is called Wat Sawang Phaibun. Yesterday my wife and I drove around and visited many temples in Mae Ai district. And this temple is one of the temples in Amphoe Mae Ai that we visited yesterday.
Wat Sawang Phaibun is located in Pa Daet Village, Ban Luang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. This temple is a small temple in a quiet rural community. Most of the local villagers are farmers and mainly grow rice.
Wat Sawang Phaibun has another name. Local people call this temple also called Wat Pa Daet. The temple was built in A.D. 1936 or 87 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in A.D. 1998 or 25 years ago.

When me and my wife arrived at this temple. We see the name plate of the temple first. The temple's name plate area is a mini flower garden and there are two deer statues in the flower garden. The temple name plate is made of wood and the roof of the temple name plate is built in the Lanna style.

This temple has a large entrance arch. This entrance arch is built of wood like a name plate. The roof of the entrance arch is built in Lanna style as well.
And on the left and right wall pillars between the entrances are two white lion statues decorated with color gold patterns.

When we entered the temple, we saw the temple's buddha image hall (viharn). This buddha image hall (viharn) is in new condition, made of bricks plastered with cement and painted white, decorated with stucco patterns of color gold and other colors, looking bright and beautiful.
On the railing of the stairs at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) are two serpent statues decorated with beautiful brightly colored patterns as well.

Inside the buddha image hall (viharn), there is a color gold buddha image in the attitude of subduing mara as the main buddha image on a foundation decorated with beautiful stucco patterns. And there are many small buddha images. The back wall of the main buddha image is decorated with color gold stucco designs.

When we walked to the area behind the buddha image hall (viharn), there was a large pagoda. This pagoda is a polygonal pagoda and the top of the pagoda is bell-shaped. Below of the pagoda there are designs of the 12 thai zodiac. And the pagoda has 4 small pagoda entrance arches. These entrance arches are decorated with golden stucco designs.

Near the pagoda is a Thai style building. This building was the house for monks and for religious ceremonies. And near the Thai-style building, a large pavilion is being built for religious ceremonies too.

Finally, I’ll go on to share about other atmospheres within the temple. Most of the area is gardens and trees. And there is a large gong on the side of the buddha image hall (viharn).
