Visit and enjoy Wat Thung Setthi and Wat Lookkrog, temples and ancient sites over 700 years old.

Hello everyone. Me and my wife went to many temples in Sukhothai Province. Wat Thung Setthi, an ancient temple and archaeological site was one of all the temples we visited. This temple was built during the Sukhothai Kingdom period. Kingdom of ancient Thailand (about Year A.D. 1238 onwards). Wat Thung Setthi has no information on what year temple was built. But this temple was built about over 700 years ago.

The temple is located in Si Satchanalai Subdistrict, Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai Province, Thailand. Located outside the ancient city wall of Si Satchanalai in front of the Ram Narong Gate.
Open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Architecture inside the temple, although this temple was built over 700 years ago. But now, the ruins of the buddha image hall (viharn), the pagoda and the temple wall remain for us to see the beautiful. Absolutely, even when just ruins, but these ancient temples fascinate and enjoy me and my wife every time, Amazing.

The walls of the temple are made of several stick-shaped laterites set into the ground and lined up close together. Several stick-shaped laterites in relatively good condition.

The pagoda of this temple, the foundation and the center of the pagoda are still in relatively good condition. But the top of the pagoda was destroyed.

The Buddha image hall (viharn) is in ruins, remain only the foundation and pillars.

In addition, me and my wife also went to Wat Lookkrog too. Wat Lookkrog, an archaeological site and another ancient temple. This temple is close to Wat Thung Setthi. And the temple is outside the city wall of Si Satchanalai. I think Wat Lookkrog even though it's just a ruin, but this temple's a fascinatingly and amazing archaeological site like Wat Thung Setthi. The temple was built during the Sukhothai Kingdom period. But there is no information on which year the temple was built.

Wat Lookkrog does not have a temple wall. The architecture is still lost in this temple. Ruins of the buddha image hall (viharn), which is a large buddha image hall (viharn) made of laterite. Now the buddha image hall (viharn) only the foundation and pillars remain, all of them are ruins.
The pagoda of the temple had crumbled over time, now only the foundation and middle remained. The top of the pagoda was destroyed. This pagoda is a lotus bud shaped pagoda. Take a look.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

These ruins are always interesting to visit. It would have been nicer if there were a short historical description of the place. It's something that I find lacking in ancient temples in Thailand even Laos.
