View and atmosphere in a rural village, Chai Prakan District, Chiang Mai, Thailand : Thung Yao Village.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Chai Prakan District is a district in the northern part of Chiang Mai Province. This district is a rural district with many villages. And it is a district where many ethnic groups live. Including local Thais, Yunnan Chinese, Tai-Yai people and various hill tribes. My wife and I have been to Chai Prakan District many times. And we had the opportunity to visit a village in this district a few days ago. It is a village of local Thai people. This village is called Thung Yao Village. Thung Yao Village is a small rural village with not much community area compared to other villages in the district. There are few houses in the community area. There are no schools and health centers. But there are shops and the mini restaurants with Thai food cooked to order.

The sacred place for religious ceremonies of the people of Thung Yao village is the temple. Most people in the village are Buddhists with northern traditions. This tradition is called Lanna tradition. Inherit northern thai traditions in the past until the present.
The temple of Thung Yao Village is called Wat Thung Yao. This temple is called the same as the name of the village. Wat Thung Yao was built in 1940 or 84 years ago. This temple does not have much monastery compound. Inside the temple there is only a buddha image hall (viharn), a large pavilion and monk's cells with with the temple yard.

Finally I will take everyone to see the view and atmosphere of the agricultural area in this rural village. Including various orchards, rice fields, corn farms, other, nature and mountains. The atmosphere that day was very good. The clear sky looked fresh and beautiful. Let's go.
