Story of me and my family part 82, Trip to Wat Ratprakhongtham, Nonthaburi with my brother and mother.

Hello everyone. Yesterday was the second day of visiting my mother in Nonthaburi. And yesterday my brother take me and my mother to a temple in Nonthaburi. We haven't been to the temple together for almost a year. So we want to visit and make merit at the temple together. The temple we visited and made merit yesterday is called Wat Ratprakongtham. This temple is near my mother's house. The distance is about 12 kilometers, but the journey takes about 30 minutes. Because traffic jam.

Wat Ratprakongtham is assumed to have been built in A.D. 1713 or earlier. The past, the temple was deteriorated and there were no monks living there. This temple is therefore called Wat Khangkhao. Later in the year A.D. 1950, the villagers helped restore the temple and changed its name to Wat Ratprakongtham. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in A.D. 1962.

I've just been to this temple for the first time. As soon as we arrived at the temple. I feel like and very impressed with this temple. The first thing I see was a large pavilion decorated with beautiful stucco designs. And on the roof of this pavilion are several small pagodas.

Inside the large pavilion, there is a reclining buddha, 32 meters long, which is the largest in Nonthaburi. This reclining buddha is a beautiful and gorgeous buddha image.

In addition, inside the large pavilion, there are many buddha images in various postures. All buddha statues are very beautiful and gorgeous.

This temple has 2 buddha image halls (viharn). The two buddha image halls (viharn) are area behind the large reclining buddha. And around the buddha image hall (viharn) there are many Buddha images.

The first buddha image hall (viharn) is not open to visitors or pay homage to the buddha image inside the buddha image hall (viharn). But the second buddha image hall (viharn) is open to visitors and pay respects to the buddha image inside the buddha image hall (viharn).

Inside the temple grounds and a large pavilion are undergoing many renovations and improvements. Therefore, it is not possible to take pictures everywhere.

So we walked outside the large pavilion to walk area along the canal. Because this temple is next to the canal. So we want to walk area the canal and feed the fish.
But before walking to the canal area, We see a new pavilion being built. The new pavilion was built and decorated very beautifully.

When we reached the canal area. I took a picture of the atmosphere around the canal, the sky was overcast at that time. Then we feed the fish in this canal, there are many fish. After finishing feeding the fish, we go home. End of this trip.
