Sand Pagodas inside Chiang Dao Cave.

Hello everyone. Yesterday, me and my wife traveled to Chiang Dao District. We intend to visit many places. One of the places we traveled was the 3rd highest mountain in Thailand. This mountain is named Luang Chiang Dao Mountain. Thai people call Doi Luang Chiang Dao. Doi Luang Chiang Dao is 2,275 meters (7,136 feet) above sea level. The mountain of rich nature with a wide variety of vegetation and many species and is a wildlife sanctuary (Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary). Me and my wife didn't go up to the top of the mountain to see the natural beauty of this mountain. But we intend to visit this cave in the mountain. This cave is called Chiang Dao Cave. I took pictures of the atmosphere and view of Doi Luang Chiang Dao on the way to this cave. And the mountain that everyone can see from my photo is Doi Luang Chiang Dao. Take a look.

Chiang Dao Cave is one of the most famous and beautiful cave-style attractions in Thailand. This cave is located at area foothill of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. When me and my wife reached Chiang Dao Cave. At the entrance there is a stair leading up to the cave, we have to pay entrance fee to Chiang Dao Cave 20 baht.

We walk inside the cave and see the first hall with beautiful stalactite and stalagmite, besides this area has many buddha statues and statues too.

When we walk through the first hall of this cave, we will see a junction of caves. This area will have several buddha images, one more point in the cave. And the area is also a junction to various small caves of this cave.

There are 3 small caves within Chiang Dao Cave that are open to tourists : Phra Non Cave (Tham Phra Non), Kaew Cave (Tham Kaew) and Ma Cave (Tham Ma). But yesterday me and my wife only visited Phra Non Cave. Because our time is limited. From the information, Chiang Dao Cave has already been explored for only 5,100 meters. And Chiang Dao Cave is expected to be more than 8,000 meters long. But Kaew Cave, a distance of 734 meters, access to this cave requires a lantern or flashlight and a guide, Ma Cave, a distance of 735 meters, and access to this cave requires a lantern or flashlight and a guide as well. Both caves me and my wife visited 15 years ago and they are very beautiful caves with stalactites and stalagmites.

But Phra Non Cave that we visited yesterday is a cave with electricity. We can visit this cave without lanterns or flashlight and guides. This cave is a cave that can be visited with a distance of only 360 meters. Inside the cave, there are beautiful stalactites and stalagmites as well. In addition, there are many other buddha images inside the Phra Non Cave. So Phra Non Cave is known and famous as a beautiful Buddha cave. I am sure you will like it like me.

At the end of the path where tourists can walk and visit Phra Non Cave, there will be a reclining buddha image, which this Buddha looks face-up and is another highlight of this cave. This Buddha image was built more than 100 years ago. In the reclining Buddha area, there are other Buddha images as well.

This area is not the end of the cave as there is still a walking path, but visitors are not allowed to enter to prevent danger.

Let's see the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes inside the Phra Non cave.
