Uno de mis tópicos favoritos en las películas, series o libros es la venganza. Aunque me encanta ver una buena obra sobre alguien aceptando que la venganza no es buena, la verdad es que ver una buena película de venganza es muy satisfactoria y estas han existido desde que existe el medio, básicamente. Hace una semana junto a unos amigos vi Lady Vengaence y es de las mejores películas de venganza que he visto, realmente lo pensé, pero por cómo funciona mi mente, también pensé entonces, ¿cuáles son las mejores películas de venganza que he visto? Pues bien, aquí hago un par de recomendaciones:

One of my favorite topics in movies, series or books is revenge. While I love to see a good play about someone accepting that revenge is no good, the truth is that watching a good revenge movie is very satisfying and these have been around for as long as the medium has existed, basically. A week ago with my friends I watched Lady Vengaence and it is one of the best revenge movies I have ever seen, I really thought about it, but because of how my mind works, I also thought then, what are the best revenge movies I have ever seen? Well, here are a couple of recommendations:
Harakiri
Me es imposible no sacar esta película al aire simplemente casi siempre que me toca hablar de películas. Es de mis películas favoritas y es una buena forma de entrar en el cine de samuráis, el cine en blanco y negro, el cine de venganza y el cine japonés. “El honor en una sociedad es respetable, el honor en una sola persona es locura” trata de expresar una película que es, por lejos, una de las películas con mejor guion, dirección y actuaciones que nos ha dado el cine oriental. Un 10 de 10.
Harakiri
It's impossible for me not to simply bring this movie up almost every time I get to talk about movies. It is one of my favorite films and is a good way to get into samurai cinema, black and white cinema, revenge cinema and Japanese cinema. "Honor in a society is respectable, honor in a single person is insanity" tries to express a film that is by far one of the best scripted, directed and acted films that oriental cinema has given us. A 10 out of 10

Es un director, sí, pero tiene “la trilogía de la venganza”, que es una trilogía de películas que tocan el tópico de la venganza. Ninguna de las películas tiene algo que ver una con la otra más allá de ser dirigidas por la misma persona y compartir uno que otro actor. En esta trilogía se encuentran Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr Vengeance y Lady Vengeance. Las tres películas son increíbles y tienen esa visión tan característica del director, sin embargo, Oldboy es la más conocida y se entiende el porqué, ya que además de ser una película de venganza, es una películas con uno de los finales más fuertes en la historia del cine, y en cuanto a sus escenas de acción, son un hito y una inspiración para muchos cineastas hoy en día; pero, para sorpresa de algunos, mi favorita de esta trilogía es Lady Vengeance, que termina teniendo una de las protagonistas más icónicas del cine.

He is a director, yes, but he has "the revenge trilogy", which is a trilogy of films that touch on the topic of revenge. None of the films have anything to do with each other beyond being directed by the same person and sharing one or another actor. In this trilogy are Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Lady Vengeance. All three films are incredible and have that vision so characteristic of the director, however, Oldboy is the best known and it is understandable why, since besides being a revenge film, it is a film with one of the strongest endings in the history of cinema, and as for its action scenes, they are a milestone and an inspiration for many filmmakers today; but, to the surprise of some, my favorite of this trilogy is Lady Vengeance, which ends up having one of the most iconic protagonists of cinema.
Kill Bill
Ok recomendar Kill Bill es cómo recomendar pulp fiction, es una película que ya todo el mundo conoce, pero, ¿por qué todo el mundo la conoce? Fácil, porque es una de las mejores películas que tiene Tarantino, y es comprensible para quienes la tienen cómo su mejor película (contando la parte uno y la parte dos cómo una misma película).Tarantino tiene una fisión por la venganza y Django y Bastardos Sin Gloria también son películas que podría comentar aquí, sobre todo porque bastardos sin gloria es mi segunda película favorita del director. Kill Bill termina siendo más icónica por todo lo que logra Tarantino en esta película, siendo un homenaje a las películas asiáticas, siendo tan gore que tuvo que ser censurada y mostrando el mejor personaje que ha hecho Uma Truman. No quiero decir que la recomiendo, porque siento que todo el mundo las ha visto, pero, siempre es bueno volver a ver Kill Bill.
Kill Bill
Ok recommending Kill Bill is like recommending pulp fiction, it's a movie that everybody knows, but why does everybody know it? Easy, because it's one of Tarantino's best films, and it's understandable for those who have it as his best film (counting part one and part two as one and the same film).Tarantino has a fixation for revenge and Django and Inglourious Basterds are also films that I could comment here, especially because Inglourious Basterds is my second favorite film of the director. Kill Bill ends up being more iconic because of everything Tarantino accomplishes in this film, being an homage to Asian films, being so gore it had to be censored and showcasing the best character Uma Truman has ever done. I don't want to say I recommend it, because I feel like everyone has seen them, but, it's always good to see Kill Bill again.
