The Blue Mountains is a very famous region where many tourist from around the world will visit or hike if they are nature lovers and visiting Australia, it's located in our state of New South Wales, Australia, known for it's amazing steep cliffs, dramatic sceneries, eucalyptus forests, rain-forest and all the stunning waterfalls.

I have visited the Blue Mountains several times with friends and enjoyed the day hiking through the rain-forest admiring all the amazing waterfalls, it's just under a two hour drive out of Sydney center to a town called Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, it is also where you will see the iconic Three Sisters these huge rock formation standing side by side.

Often we have spent the weekend in the Blue Mountains there are many lodges and hotels you can book into for a romantic weekend overlooking the massive lush national parks or you can just do the day trip there are cable cars that will take you down to the bottom of these amazing mountains and then you just follow the signs along the many trail you choose there are many trails to choose from and they all led to stunning waterfalls.

You will not find the Blue Mountains boring at all if you are a nature lover there are numerous exhilarating activities on offer in these mountains, from rock climbing, fishing, canoeing but always be sure and let friends and family know what part of the mountains you are at you can easily become lost in the thick of these mountains and rainforest. One thing I do know every time I have visited these amazing mountains I have come home with pure clear oxygen in my lungs apart from enjoying the beauty of these amazing mountains.

An oasis in dry country making it a sought after region to visit I believe @kohsamui99, enjoyed your stunning photography.
Rain forests, water falls always amazing places to find fresh air, enjoy the outdoors walking trails through listening to birds in song.

Simply awesome as always. I have been in Katoomba though we did not stay long to see these marvels. Now I know what I missed. It was a business trip and did not have time to sightsee. The trip to Australia was the first leg of our month long trip which took us to South America via the Atlantic Ocean. We also visited another peak named Blue Mountain in Kingston, Jamaica, the place where the authentic Blue Mountain coffee is grown. At that time it was said that the emperor of Japan only drank this particular coffee, the most expensive in the world.
