Life Changing Moment - Finally Bought My First 3 Axies For $2000
I am playing Axie Infinity and sharing Axie Infinity gameplay videos at my social media for more than 6 months now but what most of my viewers don't know is that all this time I was on an Axie Scholarship and these Axies were not mine.
Guess what?
I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Axies I'm playing with the past 6 months for around $2000
Earn2Play
When it comes to Earn2Play games, Axie Infinity is at the top.
Players can earn up to 200 SLP(Smooth Love Potions)/day just for completing their Daily Quest and 1 SLP is currently worth around $0.14
If you do the math that's more or less 6k SLP/month which equals to $840! That's more than the minimum monthly salary in my country and the best part is that players earn all that money just for having fun. F*cking crazy right?
My First SLP Withdrawal
My scholar transfered my new Axies to my Ronin account yesterday along with the 3116 SLP I hustled the past 14 days (thanks George, you're the best)
Since ETH fees are cheap I decided to test out how hard it was to withdraw my SLP from Ronin to Binance and then sell them for my local currency and in my surprise it was not hard at all.
Here is what I had to do
- Synced my Metamask and Ronin accounts in https://marketplace.axieinfinity.com/
- Transfer some ETH from Metamask to my Ronin account using the Axie Infinity "Ronin Bridge" (https://bridge.axieinfinity.com/)
- Transfer my SLP from Ronin to Metamask using https://bridge.axieinfinity.com/
- Transfer my SLP from Metamask to Binance and sell them for USDT or ETH
I sold my 3116 SLP for $445 and as mentioned above, these were just my last 14 days earnings.
Axie Infinity For Life
Playing a really fun game for 1 hour/day and earning more than the minimum salary in my country is like a dream come true. Blockchain/Crypto gaming is changing the lives of many people around the globe (including mine) and it's here to stay.
Buying these 3 Axies is probably my best investment so far and I think it's worthy every sacrifice I made during these past months to raise that $2000.
If the price of SLP remains at these levels then I am gonna get my investment back in around 3 months and after that it's all profits plus I now own these Axies so I can re-sell them for the same amount of money or even more if I decide to bail out of the game.

Steem games are cooler than Ethereum ones because of the transaction fees
That takes courage! I remember I bought some cryptokittties, when it first launched, for half a grand at that time, but within a week they have dropped to near zero! So I just gave up. Fast forward a few years later, they are now probably worth something, but I have lost the keys to the wallet, so zero return on the investment :(
Also, transaction fees are high, regardless of Ethereum gas price, I try to use Chi Gas Token whenever possible to cut fees by half, but not every dapp implements it, sadly.
Damn @igormuba, bad luck with those keys :(
I've never actually used Chi Gas Token but I'll take a look at it! I don't think Axie implements Chi tokens though. Never heard of it before :/

Not many tokens do, it is great to accumulate it when the price is low, and use it when it is high, to compensate for Ethereum fees. Just need to be careful because soon ETH2.0 is out and the token can become useless, can’t say for sure.
I have used it this weekend and saved me around 50% on transaction fees on the 1inch DEX, but the contract needs to implement, if it doesn’t, maybe you can build a contract to use as a proxy but then it is harder.
Maybe I will make a tool for that when/if I have time.
It's truly amazing how many life-changing opportunities we are presented with thanks to crypto...

Gratssss! I've been honestly itching to try this game but the $400-500 barrier is what's stopping me.
After reading this blog post though I finally caved in and also finally bought my 3 AXIES (~$400 USD in total).
As I don't have any experience playing the game like you do, the moment I tried Adventure Mode this morning, I noticed 1 AXIE I bought was crap (I think it's still on a low level though but kinda regretting buying that AXIE). Still, if SLP's price holds and/or increases, I think I'm also in for a huge profit making this investment risk worth it. Lol

Adventure mode needs some hard grinding but once your Axies reach lvl 20-25 you can spam the Lunacia Ruins lvl 20 and earn 10 SLP for your every win. No Axie is useless so no worries!
Axie is not an easy game so if you love challenging games you're gonna love it!

At the moment my Axies are still at level 9 and I am currently grinding at Lunacia Ruin 6 (I already 1-starred Ruin 7 but I went with the safe approach of grinding Lunacia Ruin 6 for at least guaranteed EXP and 2 SLP per win.
And wowww I did not expect that on the higher levels one could earn 10 SLP in one go. I might be able to get the maximum 100 SLP per day due to that.
Anyways, is Daily Quest bugged at the moment or it only unlocks after reaching a certain Lunacia Ruin level? Can't see any Daily quest on mine.

Sure.
You must first find someone on Axie discord, reddit or at the Axie academy who has a free scholarship slot, they give you 3 axies and you play with their axies.
Most keep around 65% of their earnings and you can ask your scholar to cash out whenever you feel like.
In my case, I was cashing out once every month and my the guy who owned the Axies was sending the Slp I hustled at my binance account.

Scholarship is a great way to explore the game but its hard to find a free spot.

Well, that depends on your budget man! All I can say for sure is that you need a tank for the front row and and a Water or Bird Axie for the back row for some pure damage.
Let me know your budget and I can look at the marketplace for a solid 3 Axie combo.
My minimum budget is only 1k$ :(
