β¨ Delightful Breakfast with Roti Ong in Mae Sot π
Tak Province, Thailand.
Hello everyone. β€οΈ
How's everyone doing? I hope all of you are doing well ππ
In this post, I'd like to introduce an amazing roti shop in Mae Sot!
Let me start by saying that this shop is open only in the mornings β°, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM every day. If you're an early bird, this is a must-visit! The shop is located in Mae Sot, Tak Province π and is known as "Roti Ong." If you're visiting Mae Sot, this place should definitely be on your list!
For this trip, I spent 2 days and 1 night in Mae Sot. One of the highlights, of course, was sampling the townβs famous local dishes π₯π β and the roti here is a standout!
Don't miss out on the delicious Roti Ong β fragrant, crispy, and soft! It's absolutely worth waking up early to enjoy this mouthwatering treat. π
π We arrived at the Roti Ong shop around 6 AM π. If come any later, might not get a seat because this place is always packed with customers!
The morning air in Mae Sot is refreshing and pleasantly cool π. The surroundings are filled with traditional buildings π‘, which I think are a unique and charming characteristic of Mae Sot. π
β The menu here isn't extensive, but the prices are very affordable π°, with a focus on aromatic hot drinks π₯
There are several options to choose from, including:
- Hot Coffee β
- Hot Milk Tea β
- Hot Black Coffee π
- Hot Ovaltine π«
- Hot Fresh Milk π₯
- Hot Goat Milk ππ₯
These drinks pair perfectly with roti, and the owner recommended them. The most popular choice among customers is the Hot Milk Tea, so I couldn't resist ordering it to enjoy with my roti. This was my first time trying this style of roti, and it was such a delightful experience! π
After I ordered my food and drinks, I took some photos of the roti-making process at this shop. Before taking any pictures, I politely asked the shop owner for permission π
I must say, the owner here is very friendly π and asked if it was my first time visiting. If it is, the owner will recommend dishes to try and explain how to enjoy them properly. It made me feel warm and well taken care of π
While waiting for the food, the shop offers a pot of tea to warm up ββοΈ. We sipped the tea leisurely while waiting, and it didnβt take long before our food and drinks were served π
The shop owner recommended tearing the roti into small pieces and pairing it with a fried egg π³. The roti has a fragrant and soft texture, and when paired with the egg, the richness complements each other perfectly. Alternatively, you can tear the roti and dip it into hot milk tea β, which has a slight sweetness. Itβs so delicious that I couldnβt stop eating! π
After enjoying a delightful breakfast, it was time to head back to our accommodation, as we woke up early to try the roti π . Before leaving, I captured a morning scene of monks walking on their alms round, a beautiful and peaceful sight πβ¨.
Thank you for always following and supporting me. β€οΈ
