Life is like a drop of water
If I asked you what life is like, what would you say? What are the similes for that..? Life is like a drop of water stayed at the end of the grass.. This is a parable taken from Buddhism. Our teacher Lord Buddha has preached meaningful parables about life. So when you read this parable, you realize how unstable life is. That is why the Lord Buddha likens life to a drop of dew on the grass. No one can tell at what moment the drop of water resting on the tip of the grass will slip out of it and fall to the ground. But it will surely leave the grass and fall to the ground.
So none of us can say when and where our life will end. But all of us can live a good and meaningful life even in the short time we live. Only then will our death be good one.
According to the basic analysis of Buddhism, life is the sum total of forms, pains, sannyas samskaras and vijnana. This is not a simple thing to understand. But if a person understands this well then he or she gets a correct understanding of life. Moreover, he or she understand exactly what life means and live mindfully. buddha dhama is a very pure pure dhama. A person who understands this will truly be a person who has conquered life in this world and the hereafter.
Just like a beautifully blooming flower withers and the petals fall, our beautiful body is also destroyed. This is the best metaphor to understand the impermanence of life.
