One of my goals in the Splinterlands game was to stake SPS token so I can participate in governance as well as earn some fractions of SPS rewards. Over time, the funds were not really sufficient to put in that investment. It has always been on my to-do list for the game.

GLX Airdrop makes SPS Staking a Priority now

Though I have written about Genesis League Sports, Genesis League Goals and the GLX airdrop, I had forgotten that I had no stake of SPS token yet. I saw the reminder in the Splinterlands Discord got me checking my wallet to see how much SPS I had and lo, it was empty.

The GLX airdrop for SPS stakers within Splinterlands will begin as of next Tuesday, October 25 @ 3:00 PM .

My few weeks of engaging Splinterlands game and community has been profitable and I do not take any new development within the community for granted.

Today, I decided to comb my Hive earnings and swap them to SPS. I swapped 16.5 Hive at first into 136.7 SPS. That was not enough. I needed more, so I swapped 5.44 more Hive

My Goal was 200 SPS for a Start

Starting my SPS staking journey with 200 isn't bad for me. It is worth about $11.2. Thanks to all the splinterlands posts rewards that has been tangible enough to help me gather this much tokens ahead of tomorrow's GLX airdrop.

I transferred 193 SPS token s from my hive-engine wallet into my Splinterlands wallet where I had 7.4 SPS leftover after the Riftwatchers purchase.

Staked 200 SPS

I have staked, should I say, powered up 200 SPS tokens today. in my splinterlands wallet. Congratulations to me. I do not know how much that would fare in the future neither how many GLX tokens it will fetch me each day. I just trust the leadership in this gaming community that this can't be a bad investment.

I noticed that staking SPS already comes with its reward. Will monitor my wallet in the next 7 days to see how many SPS tokens add up to my stake as a staking reward.

Splinterlands gaming has been fun and full of learning. Good that the learning comes with rewards. I am gradually building my crypto wealth bank with sharing my learning experiences in Splinterlands game.

The long awaited GLX airdrop to SPS stakers will happen in less than 24 hours. It will be a daily airdrop that will last for 12 months. The GLX tken will be useable in the Genesis league Sports platform as a governance token. First game in the sports platform is the Genesis League Goals.
