Hermit Recluse (Part 1)

For the very first time, Ezekiel, a 23-year-old guy studying animal husbandry at the University of Lasto, decided to spend his first semester break at her maternal grandmother's home. She lives in Hitta, a very typical rural village located on the outskirts of the state. Ezekiel had been dodging to visit his grandma upon many requests from the woman, until he gained admission to study animal husbandry, which piqued his heart to visit the village so he could have the opportunity to see wild animals that flock around the forest in the village.

His journey to the village lasted for 6 hours, and he got there at 6:37 p.m. after passing through the not-so-motorable roads in the thick forest.

"E wo oooo! Everyone, come and see!" Mama Theresa jumped up from where she was seated in the verandah and rushed like a 20-year-old girl, with shouts, to hug Ezekiel upon setting her eyes on him, highlighting from the bike that drove into the unfenced compound.

"Mama, take it easy; you'll fall." The force with which she hugged him almost swept him off his feet, but he was strong enough to withstand it, and Ezekiel reciprocating the hug.

"I didn't believe when you called in the morning that you were coming. That's why I didn't bother to call again." She said while dragging Ezekiel's bag from him to lead the way to the house, but Ezekiel refused to let go.

After the whole greeting with many questions about school, she welcomed him with a nice local dish, which he ate, took his bathe, and launched into deep slumber due to his worn outness from the journey.

The following day, around 7:00 a.m., Mama Theresa got to his room to see him still snoring. She woke him up to inform him to keep the house safe because she's going to farm.
"Farm? Did you say farm? No way, I'm going with you." The sound of farm cleared his dizzy eyes as he jumped up and rushed to his bag to bring out his already-prepared kits for adventure.

Mama Theresa was lost in speech. She stood there and watched Ezekiel kit up with a heavy sole boot, a worn-out trouser, and a shirt. He picked up his phone and turned to meet Mama Theresa, who was already sitting on the bed because she was tired, and asked, "Can we go now?"

She looked at him, stood up, gave a smile, and walked out with saying "Go and brush your teeth and meet me outside when you're done."

"Ohhhh! I forgot! Okay, I won't take time." Ezekiel smarked his head. He rushed off to his bag, got his tooth brush, and did just that.

Upon coming out, Grandma was nowhere to be found, while her bicycle rested on the wall.

He became so curious, and...
