Pic1000: The crash
It was winter and all I could see was ice. I havd walked miles yet there was no sign of life or land around. I wondered when my journey will end, if I'll ever survive.
I was a pilot that works with a private airstrip in the outskirts of the town. And few hours ago I just crash landed into a ice made mountain. Lucky enough I sustained only a dislocated shoulder. I've tried calling for help from the plane radio but there was not a single reception or network coverage. Now he was left with walking distance to find help or get frozen in this ice land.
I had no sweaters on to help me with the cold. The aircraft I was onboard had a air conditioner so had the heater on and didn't think of putting in something thick. I was shivering to the bones if hrlp doesn't come any sooner then I might turn to ice. My eyebrows were already turning white.
With the last strength I mme I kept in pushing and moving hoping and praying for a miracle.
I haven't taken more steps when I saw it. A flick of a light. I must be dreaming I thought. But then again the flick came this time in another direction then a shadow. It was coming from a cave that looked like it was made out of ice. I moved faster, finally there was sign of life lurking nearby.
I got to the door and it was a cave but a house.
"Who in his right senses will build a house in a place like this" I said to myself.
But I didn't matter I just need a warm sweater and some cup of hot coffee. I knocked and waited for some minutes before the door flung open to reveal a fat man standing at the door with a rifle in his hands. He was pointing it at me.
"Who the hell are you and why are you out here in the cold all along" he asked.
"Don't shoot please" I pleaded. "I'm a pilot, my aircraft crashed not so far away from here. I need help please"
The man hesitated before opening the door wide and letting me in. And in few minutes I was warm and lieing on a cozy he'd with sweaters and a hot cup of coffee. The man had let me in and made sure I was comfortable. He helped me too with my dislocated shoulder.
I had asked what he was doing living in the cold alone. And he told me that he was a hotelier who had built this little hotel at the bank if the river for fishermen and local dwellers. His intentions was to help fishermen after a long day at the sea. He was warned of the incoming change in climate and everyone left on time. Since it was his business he wanted to make sure everything was intact before leaving. But unfortunately the winter came and before he could go back to the city, the sea was already frozen and his boat couldn't sail the sea nor car ply through.
We survived a month on the ice with the little he had.
Wow........snow
What a natural phenomenon
Though the story is based on a fictional setting but I do love the way it manages to depicts reality.
The write up was amazing and I do appreciate the happy ending 😅🤭.
Thanks for sharing.
Wow you write so good
Your story is a bit chaotic which makes it hard to read. Parts of the sentences and words are broken.
Try Grammarly it will improve your story.
I hope the hotelier will get paid and the pilot will be found.
