Cinetvcontest; Professor Xavier and Magneto (X-Men)

One thing I like about CineTV is that it has really helped me to turn my hobby of watching movies into writinf. Before it was a tough task for me writing reviews but now I can do it with ease. Although I believe I'm still yet to be perfect in it but I'm getting there.

This week's contest on CineTV is a little bit tough for me. Because seeing the movies I've never tried noticing rivalries. I mean there are rivalries in movies but I really don't take it seriously. Because I believe somehow they'll definitely get along. Maybe in the later part of the movie.

So I tried racking up my mind to check up on the rivalries I've see in movies. I got hold of movies like the drumline, Grumpy Men and X-Men" Now I'm going to write about the X-Men.

You might be wondering where the rivalry is in the X-Men. Don't worry I'll tell you. The rivalry was between former friends and pioneers of the X-Men who somehow along the line developed different ideologies about their chase. And that's Professor Xavier and Magneto.

A little about the X-Men franchise
X-Men are the atom's children, homo superior, the next link in the evolutionary chain. Each one of them was born with a distinct genetic mutation that gradually manifests itself into extraordinary abilities during puberty. They are feared by those who cannot accept their differences in a world filled with hatred and prejudice. The X-Men, led by Xavier, fight to protect a world that fears them. They are at odds with Magneto, a former colleague and friend who believes humans and mutants should never coexist

More about the rivalry
Professor Xavier and Magneto were created with Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X ideologies in mind. They all desired the same thing. They desired a world in which mutants are accepted as members of society and can live freely. Magneto's ambitions grew more selfish and grandiose over time. You couldn't blame him after losing some of his closest friends. Although his idea was still sound, he had a bad motive for carrying it out.

How is it different

Magneto feared that humans would invade and exterminate the camps, and he didn't want that to happen. So he reasoned that the only way to combat their human aggressors was to demonstrate their power through violence. He believed that if a human threw a bottle at a mutant, the mutant should retaliate by hurling a car. That was his plan for salvaging the situation while,

Xavier, on the other hand, believes that the only way to coexist peacefully with Homo Sapien is to demonstrate that, while mutants may appear different at times, they are still human beings. Aggression only serves to escalate clashes with humans and further alienate mutants from the vast majority of the population.Though the X-Men frequently use their powers in battle, they almost always use them against other powered beings or as a last resort against humans.

Their different ideologies brought about their rivalry.
Their relationship begins to deteriorate and they become enemies as their perspectives on mutant and human relations diverge greatly, with Charles believing the two can coexist while Erik distrusts humans and wishes to protect his mutant family.

Magneto and Professor Charles Xavier are often regarded as polar opposites in the X-Men universe. Magneto is the violent radical who is prone to violence, whereas Professor X is the calm upholder of peace. Magneto is basically labeled as evil and despicable, whereas Xavier is labeled as good.

I believe that their rivalry in my opinion was one of the greatest rivalries in the MCU. Another rivalry that might follow up will be Thor and Loki in the avengers but it was not as massive as the two Prof Xavier and Magneto's rivalry. This two tore their city apart fighting for what they believed was right.

I'm sorry if my ideas seem to be plagiarized. I was only making proper research on the two characters.
I'll do better next time.
