We Went To A Christmas Market
Today a local hardware shop was having an open night with their new Christmas Decorations and things like that going out for sale.
They also had a few mascots, some nice displays, and free glasses of prosecco for customers.
I thought this display was kind of cool.
The thing I find with decorations and displays like this is, in a large shop, it's amazing, and it looks really nice and festive. However, if you put something like this in a moderately sized home it would take up so much space, and within a very short space of time there would most likely be jackets and clothes hanging on it.
This polar bear is so tall.
I picked Kaleb up and let him pet it, but he kind of got a bit freaked out by its sheer size, so he wasn't too pleased being face to face with the creature.
From afar he gained some confidence and was reaching over to pet it.
My dad kind of collects these little Christmas houses.
He has a fairly nice miniature village at the moment, and each year he cracks all of the stuff out to put them on display.
Currently they're on display out on two shelves of the bookcase in the sitting room, and he actually had a good idea, which was to take the books down, box them up and wrap the boxes to put around the tree to make it look more Christmassy.
We saw the grinch and went over to say hello and get a picture with Kaleb.
As he got closer he tensed up, and when he was face to face with the giant green creature he got scared and started fussing. He wasn't crying, but he was close to it, luckily Aimee's mum managed to snap this picture before we had to take him away.
We were given a few glass of prosecco, and it tasted fairly nice.
Aimee didn't like hers so I got her glass, and then as we were passing the stand again later on I got another.
It was a good little hang out, and it was fun seeing all of the Christmas displays, and also the band playing were very good and had Kaleb dancing, along with a few other kids.
