Psyber X (Update)

As anyone following the project knows, recently it was announced that the team behind Psyber X has decided to rework a few things. Namely, how people can buy Psyber Crates.

Psyber Crates are NFT packs, which upon opening, gives the purchaser 5 NFTs for use in the game Psyber X, these NFTs are like perks for your character and can be used to change your play style in the game. Are you a camper who loves long-range weaponry? They have you covered! Are you a more balls-to-wall action gamer, who loves nothing more than being in the thick of battle with only close-range weaponry and some damage boosts? They have you covered in that regard too!

Every player will feel unique and will have the opportunity to cater their character to their play style using these NFTs, which is going to be a lot of fun and will require some careful thought when we get into this game. This action-packed First-Person/ Third-Person Shooter is going to be hitting Hive sooner than we can think and I for one am so excited to get into it!

Psyber X
Is a game being produced right here on Hive, by Royal Reptile Studios, and based on some of the behind-the-scenes footage of the new game engine in action, it looks amazing and I think it is definitely one to keep an eye on if you haven't heard of it until now. New Channel, Who This? Yes, that's right the team started up a new channel to publish some videos. If you haven't already, head over, check the videos out, and show the new channel some love by subscribing so you can stay updated on what's to come. Here is a link to the White Paper.

Psyber Crates
Sorry, I got a little bit sidetracked... Sometimes it's hard to keep my mind focused when I'm excited. The change that happened recently, is that before, you were able to buy Psyber Crates with Hive on The Psyber X Website. Now though, the only way to purchase them is by using your LVL Tokens. Which I think is a great move, in giving extra use cases for the Token right now before the game's release.

The LVL Token is also going to be used in the other games coming out for the Psyber Verse. Wait... Hold up. Other games? Yes, Timmy, you heard me right. Let me tell you about them.

Other Games
The Mini Game Psyber Decks seems to be a fun-filled mini-game that is going to tide us over until Psyber X releases. It is said to be a top-down shooter, set in the same world as the mainline game. You can gain early access to Psyber Decks by purchasing 2 Psyber Crates which are $20 each, in LVL Token, or if you don't want to buy any right now. You can wait until the Psyber Decks, full-release before jumping in. I haven't seen any footage of the game, but I have to say, I am curious about it. I do know it's not being developed by the main dev team of Psyber X, so that's good to hear that the Momentum of Psyber X isn't slowing down as we approach its release.

There are also others in the works, one I don't know anything about. The other, however, which has been announced but no release date has been given yet, is a tower defense game. It's sure to be good and will be another option to play, for anyone who can't stay out of the world being built here.

How's The Lore Going?
Great! As some of you may know I work alongside a team of other writers within the Psyber X Discord and our goal is to produce Lore and expand the world of this game. I've always loved when games have more beneath the surface and these Lore Stories act as a good way for fans of the project to quench their Psyber X thirst prior to its release. As well as get a feel for the world we will be entering when the game comes out.

First Chapter (Origin Story)
Introduction to the world of Psyber X and more so, a small family unit that has to take shelter after a catastrophe takes place in the city of Zeelis.

Second Chapter
Fritz is a disenfranchised youth on the run from the law, when he meets a ripper-doc called Cleiton his life changes for the better.

Third Chapter
Jenna is one of the kids from the origin story, finding her now, she is working for the law. Investigating the wake of chaos Fritz left behind him.

Backdrop
The origin story sets up an idyllic world, which is turned upside down after an accident takes place. We then time jump into the future, the kids from the origin have grown up and their world has changed. The story of Each character will thread together to form a cohesive plot, which is filled to the brim with, action-packed scenes, interesting conversations, intrigue, and a dystopian aesthetic that would make George Orwell say, "This is a bit grim."

If you like Dystopian Science-Fiction, Social Commentary, Body Horror, Cyberpunk Aesthetics, and a fair dose of comedy. You should follow along on this incredible journey the team and I, want to take you on!

Conclusion
That's about it, I love this project and I love the fact that I was taken onboard to help write some of these stories and plot out the world alongside so many talented people.

It's all thanks to Hive! I'll take a moment to praise this platform, I have been given so many opportunities while here and I really want anyone who has made it this far to know, that if you want something, you have to ask!

I reached out to a member of the Royal Reptile team @dynamicrypto to offer my services because I love these types of worlds and almost couldn't turn my brain off to the ideas I was having. I asked if I could do some writing and was given the task of writing an official post for the game. After that was done, I said. "Well, I was thinking more along the lines of Lore chapters or something like that." Then, I heard that this idea was already being floated around by @bobthebuilder2 after a quick interview and a chat about what we could do with this idea, it began, Bob took charge of spearheading the idea as our team leader, and over the course of these past months, we have expanded our operation with people like @papacrusher @demon402 and @scholaris among others!

We all work well together and while each of us has other projects and duties in our own lives, we are dedicated to making this story the best it can be, and lifting up some rocks to see what dirt we can find beneath the surface of this unsuspecting world.
