Huge Halo/ Star Wars Bundle - Part 2
You may have noticed that my last post didn't show the Star Wars stuff, even though the title suggested it was apart of this bundle.
As you can see at the top right of this lot, there is an X-Wing, and Kylo Ren's Ship. The rest of the stuff is Halo Mega Bloks - or Mega Construx, as it is called now.
Some of these items are missing a few pieces, but are mostly complete.
The thing that stood out to me was the landing gear of the X-Wing, the cannon of the Kodiac, and the anti-air guns of the Wolverine.
Everything else seems to be complete, but to make sure I need to do some investigating.
This is the Kodiac, artilary vehicle.
It is missing a large canon, which is a shame, but I've been to the shop I bought the stuff in, and asked if they can put aside any bits they think may have been apart of this bundle.
This is a Covenant Serphe.
Things like this with moving parts, and places for figures inside, is really cool.
This is missing a display stand which would be good to have, so I'm hoping the people find some of the missing pieces.
This is meant to be apart of a landing pad set, and also comes with a few smaller vehicles, so I'm hoping they have that stuff down there too.
I'm going to drop by on my lunchbreak tomorrow, when they've had a chance to take a look through the stuff.
If I can get the landing pad, and the other accessories that come with it, this will be worth €140 - €150, but on it's own, I think it goes for about €50+ so of course I'd like to try and complete the set.
Here's the first thing I noticed when checking out the display stand.
I was chatting with the woman who runs the place, and she said that it is incredibly rare that someone brings items in that are altogether and complete.
Usually, if they get Lego items in, they separate the mini-figs, sell them for €1 each, and weigh up bags of loose Lego, and sell them for €10 per 1kg.
Here's one of the Warthogs, along with a few Spartans. In the back you can see the Star Wars items.
It is an immense collection, and you can tell the previous owner took care of it all. The dust suggests that it has been on display for about 10 years.
Some of these sets are from 2013 - 2016, judging by what I've been finding out online.
Here's a close up of the Ghost, Mantis, and Jackrabbit, as well as some of the other ships.
The small vehicles were €3, medium were €5, Larger were €10, and the much bigger ones were €15.
Here's the back of the Wolverine tank, and that's where the anti-air turrets are supposed to mount.
The following pictures will show the rest of the figures which I hadn't stood up yet.
There are more special ones, with their own named display plate.
They all seem to have their weapons, and some have two, so what I need to do is go through them all and try to match them up with their original weapons, if they don't already hold them.
There are a lot of really interesting ones here.
There are multiple ways people get these figures.
Multiple figures would have come alongside vehicles, there are also booster packs which seem to have 5-10 figures per pack, and lastly, the special ones come in packs alone.
Some come with accessories like turrets, which is cool.
You can see an example of that better, here.
If you were to buy a pack of these, they would come with accessories like cover, ammo crates, and other odds and ends.
I'm going to see what they have down there, because a collector who bought all of these, would not throw away the accessories, so by all rights, they should be down in what's left of the bundle.
The flood were always my favourite thing in Halo, and it's cool to see one of them here.
Even these come with flood spoors, who don't look like Mega Bloks, so could be confused for something random, and that's what I'll be keeping an eye out for when I drop by tomorrow.
She said she'd put it aside, as well as anything else I might be interested in, so tomorrow should be fairly eventful.
If I can get some accessories, terrain, and some of the missing pieces I'm looking for, I'll be delighted.
Of the figures, these are the only two missing something, one is missing a leg, and the other, a display stand.
Great haul in general, and if I can complete some of these sets, with everything they would have came with, when first purchased, I will be thrilled.
It doesn't make too much of a big deal, but having the stuff would be better than it being bagged up and sold off to multiple different buyers.
So, that's the entire lot that I picked up, and for the price I paid, it's the bargain of the year... potentially decade... potentially century.
The hardest part now is trying to figure out what it's all worth, cleaning it will be a process also, considering I don't have manuals.
If they had the manuals down there when I go to check, it would be great, but if not, it's no big deal.
That's quite a haul. I know there's collectors for everything and you just have to find the right buyer. I tend to keep the boxes for Lego kits, so they may have some value eventually. I have various other figures on my desk. Some of those belonged to my kids. We have a load more stuff in the loft, but a lot of it went to charity as they grew up. We kept the Dr Who stuff as that has some sentimental value. I'd like to have a display case for it, but the missus is not so sure.
Me and my dad both really like Doctor Who, him and the singer of the band built a life sized Tardis as a vocal booth in the old house haha
It's dismantled atm because the ceilings aren't high enough for it, in the new place.
I wish the boxes, and manuals came with this stuff to be honest. But, as is, it's still fairly valuable. Some Lego sets tend to go for mad money, depending on what it is.
