Even though it is said that Binance is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms, it doesn't stop it from having it's own issues and even facing backlash.

For a while now, Binance has had a bunch of issues that even affected them to the point of making losses around may of 2022, but today, we aren't going to be talking about the overall issues with Binance, instead, I will be focusing on my personal experience with them.

A back story; I heard about binance for the first time when I joined hive, prior to hive, I had no knowledge of it or what it offered which is crazy just thinking about it.

When I joined hive, I was taught about the whole system of binance and how it made it easy to do crypto transactions as a Nigerian who was in a country that made it so hard to use or own cryptocurrency.

Using Binance for months, I had no issues, in fact, my transactions were seamless, until they just weren't and it was impossible to use it, which brings me to talking about my issues with Binance.

My Issues With Binance

If I am being honest, Binance gives a lot of opportunities to trade crypto in a somewhat safe environment and the P2P option is literally Godsent but, there are a few hiccups and I will be talking about a few that I have experienced.

  1. Slow transaction: as much as transactions in binance are supposed to be fast, I have had experiences where I send crypto and it doesn't appear till hours after, most times, it is frustrating because there is nothing I can do about it except wait.
  2. Scams/hacks: I know Binance tries its best to keep the platform safe but even with that, there are a lot of scams that come with their platform, especially the P2P aspects; I recently had a friend who almost let her coins go because the person she was trading with gave her proof of payment which was doctored and this is just one of many.
  3. Inability to communicate speedily with Binance: I feel like this goes with the second where someone can experience a scam but can't report and get a fast reply which is a bit hindering depending on the situation you are in.
  4. Lastly, inability to sell crypto to usdt fast: I know this isn't Binance’s fault but it is a bit annoying when I need to sell crypto and the order isn't filled in minutes or hours; again I know this is dependent on the market and who is purchasing.

Finally,

Regardless of all these things I still feel like Binance is still number one because it has proven itself and there isn't any other to compete with or compare.

I do realize that Binance is growing and consistently improving so, hopefully, these complaints wouldn't last for long.

Do you think Binance is the number one?
