Lessons Learned: Mistakes to Avoid in Crypto Projects

Hey, everyone! To get to the best version of your project, you go through a lot of trial and error. The mistakes you make along the way offer huge learning opportunities, especially in a scenario as new as crypto and memecoins.

In this clip:

  • Blowing up a marketing budget without a solid community is a bad idea
  • Misunderstandings can happen in the early stages
  • Aim for organic growth
  • Be careful with whom you trust in the space

Getting to the best version of your project means embracing the learning curve. Mistakes aren’t failures; they’re opportunities to refine your approach, especially in the fast-moving world of crypto and memecoins.

For example, spending a marketing budget without first building a solid community often backfires. Misunderstandings are also common in the early stages, so staying patient and focused is critical.

Organic growth should be your goal, and choosing whom to trust in the space can make or break your progress. The right connections and strategies will set the foundation for long-term success. Learn more in our conversation with John from 1776 on this Chain Chatter.

organic growth and accepting criticism… I see too many people get blocked or banned from other communities for trying to genuinely discuss realities.

Good to see leo team is open and confident

Exciting, I have been a victim of some of these.

Amazing post and great topic. In crypto projects even a solid community might not be enough… LUNA had a good community but it collapsed anyway. I think one of the four points you described at the beginning of the post is very important, that is, having the goal from the beginning to create organic growth

Hi, I watched and liked the video. I have my own projects so I like to take in this kind of content for guidance.

I'm sorry to have to ask, as I'm feeling rather ignorant, but what is 1776? I didn't see it in the video description or in the video although I may have missed it. I checked hive-engine but to no avail. Is it https://1776token.com/ or https://1776coin.org/ which a bing search showed me? I'm sure it's obvious and I'm just missing it.

Thanks for the helpful video, nice interview!

It's really useful for anyone in the blockchain space to read articles like this before diving into the world of cryptocurrency. Many projects fail because they prioritize hype over substance. Learning from these pitfalls not only helps avoid common traps but also fosters sustainable growth and trust in the crypto ecosystem.
