Hello Hivers of the World. Welcome to my blog for another day. I hope you are feeling wonderful. Recently it was my friend's first Thursday of promo, and I had the joy of accompanying her, since my friend was out of the country for a long time, and we haven't shared a celebration for a long time. Our house of studies was the one that made us coincide for the first time in an interesting class, materials science in fifth semester, and from there our friendship was born. But my friend left the university for a while, to look for a future in another country.

However, she resumed her studies when the university started offering virtual classes. This modality helped many students who had left the country or who were working to continue their studies. This way my friend was able to catch up and reach her last stage of university.

Now, let's talk about the jueves de promo, this is an event that takes place as a tradition in my university and it is about celebrating with a party the beginning of the last semester to finally graduate from college. This party is organized by the members of the promotions of all the careers, also with the purpose of raising funds for their promotion expenses, including the beer, the tour, the last lunch, among other activities.

This day was incredible, I had a great time with my friends, especially with Carroll, who was the honoree. On this day, the people who are in promotions, wear for the first time their promotion t-shirts and toast with beer. Do you celebrate in the same way in your states or do you have other traditions?

Hola Hivers del Mundo. Bienvenidos un día más a mi blog. Espero que se encuentren de maravilla. Hace poco fue el primer jueves de promo de mi amiga, y yo tuve la dicha de acompañarla, puesto que mi amiga estuvo mucho rato afuera del país, y hace mucho no compartíamos una celebración. Nuestra casa de estudios fue la que nos hizo coincidir por primera vez en una clase interesante, ciencia de los materiales en quinto semestre y a partir de allí surgió nuestra amistad. Pero mi amiga dejo en pausa la universidad por un tiempo, para buscar futuro en otro país.

Sin embargo, ella retomó sus estudios cuando la universidad empezó a ofrecer clases virtuales. Modalidad que ayudo a muchos estudiantes que se habían ido del país o que trabajaban a continuar con sus estudios. Así mi amiga se pudo nivelar y llegar hasta su ultima etapa universitaria.

Ahora bien, hablemos del jueves de promo, este un evento que se realiza como tradición en mi universidad y se trata de celebrar con una fiesta el inicio del último semestre para finalmente graduarse de la universidad. Esta fiesta la organizan los integrantes de las promociones de todas las carreras, con la finalidad también de recaudar fondos para sus gastos de la promoción, incluyendo la cervezada, el recorrido, el ultimo almuerzo, entre otras actividades.

Este día estuvo increible, la pase muy bien con mis amigos, especialmente con Carroll, quien era la homenajeada. Este día las personas que están en promo, usan por primera vez sus franelas de promoción y brindan con cerveza. ¿En sus estados celebran de la misma manera? o ¿tienen otras tradiciones?
