My Dream Come True
Hello everyone, it's been a while since I logged into this platform and that is because I have been busy offline, I mean the struggle just gets tougher as the day goes by. Well, since I could not get sleep, I decided to roam around, and I came in contact with the #hive-naija prompt

It wasn't my intention to become a teacher, a mathematics teacher at that but as fate will have it, I fell in love with calculation as a course in my line of discipline and that has been my source of income for the past years now and I feel I need a break from that path, for a while now, I have been making plans about going off my current line of job, doing something out of that profession and that is one of the reasons I towed the sewing and fashion designer paths.
Although it was partly because I had a passion for sewing I can not deny the fact that I do not intend to continue the teaching profession for a long time, so just before I got to the point of leaving the profession, I knew I had something established for myself and keep me going.
We all know how our economy is today and a pity that so many educational establishments have refused to see reasons to increase their staff pay to at least meet up with the economy skyrocketing even when they have all increased their tuition fee, and this has made it quite difficult and hectic for many teachers especially the private sectors.
Some of us have had to settle for more extra work just to be able to get our lives running and moving smoothly like it is supposed to be even though it is not the way it used to be, and that is why for the past months, it's been a hectic one for me. Taking more extra home lessons than I should for a day wears me down at the end of the day but a guy has got to do what he ought to do to survive making me wonder how those with families survive and worst of all, most parents are refusing to pay up their debt when due.
Good thing, my sewing machine has been bringing in a few deals that have kept me sailing and I had hoped that I was going to get a sewing machine to help ease the struggle of stress and help me rest better. I mean having a sewing machine of my own in my house would help me rest better and wake up whenever I am much more rested to do my customer's work than having to always move down to my boss's office when he is around, just so I get access to the place.
It's not like if I asked for the key, I wouldn't be given but I prefer to go there and be there when everyone is around and that stresses me more, so if I can get my sewing machine before the year runs out, it would be a thing of joy for me because it would mean me staying home to do my work at my own pace and comfort. So that by next year, I can concentrate on doing more jobs as I prepare to resign from the educational sector.
Although that is my plan but most times, we do not know what the universe has in stall for us and only pray that whatever comes our way should be in our favour. As I plan, just maybe I could get another job away from the educational sector and more into my area of specialization or maybe relocate if the opportunity presents itself but regardless of what happens, I still hope to continue in my business.
