A Brief Sunlight Exposure and a Refreshing Buko on a Sunday Morning
Happy Sunday Hivers!
Since we're already in the rainy season, the temperature has become slightly cooler. Although there are still days that are too hot when it doesn't rain, it is still cool at night time, unlike during the dry season when we still have to suffer from the hot temperature. Excessive perspiration are normal during that time, even while you're asleep.
Everything has its pros and cons. One of the disadvantages that the rainy season brings is the difficulty of going out, especially for an outdoorsy person. You may hate it as it can hinder you from going out, especially when you enjoy hiking. Who would love to go hiking when it is downpouring unless you're willing to compromise your health?
I have been feeling lazy about going out and hiking for several weeks already. It's not because I am unwell or it's raining, but I simply feel the laziness of going out. Although we're already in the rainy season, it doesn't mean it rains every day, which means I can still go for a hike if I want to without getting wet because there are still days when the sun shines brightly. But it has been several consecutive weeks since I last went out, and I have been content with exercising inside my room.
As I woke up and checked outside, the blue sky immediately caught my attention. The weather was so good. Actually, I had no plan to hike this morning. It was just an impromptu decision as I enjoyed watching the blue sky. So, I went back to my room, put on my running attire, and hit the road.
While walking to the Boulevard (my favorite hiking place), I realized that it had been a while since I had gotten some early morning sunlight. It may be the reason why I always feel lazy, and I felt guilty for depriving myself of morning sunlight. We've learned since we were young that we can get vitamin D from sunlight exposure in the morning. So I was grateful for the decision I had made.
I hiked for a few rounds, and to be honest, my mood eventually changed after a few rounds of hiking and exposure to the sun. The sunlight was not harsh on the skin since it was still early.
When I got tired, I immediately bought a fresh buko since I hadn't brought water with me. But actually, it was my intention not to bring water as I had planned to buy buko.
Who would have thought that a simple glimpse of the sky would help me decide to go out and simply enjoy the morning walk, the gentle sunlight, and the refreshing buko? That's how I spent my Sunday morning. How about you? How did you spend yours?
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!

Namaste! I am fond of reading books, watching korean, american and filipino series/movies and I am also fond of gardening. I love listening to different life stories and I am always captivated with the beauty of nature so travel is my escape when life turns into blue. But hey, how could I forget my photography hobby? It is one of the best, so follow me as I will be featuring my experiences of the stuff that I am passionate with.
I’m also guilty of being lazy and just staying at home. I think the weather adds to that. 😅 Nice bukooo! I kinda miss that
It's easy to get into a lazy mood, especially when it rains. But it is our responsibility to push ourselves when a lazy mood strikes us.
That refreshing buko is hard to resist @wittyzell, By the way, thanks for dropping by.
