1era Semana de adaptacion de los lentes correctivos de mi hijo

Espero que estén súper bien. Ya ha pasado una semana desde que mi hijo tiene sus lentes y quiero contarles cómo ha sido esta adaptación usando lentes correctivos por primera vez. Como les mencioné hace unos días, mi hijo tiene miopía un poco alta para su edad (-3.50 en el ojo derecho y -2.75 en el izquierdo) y con apenas 6 años, pensé que el proceso de adaptación sería difícil. Con mi experiencia, ya que a esa misma edad comencé a usar yo mis lentes (aunque con una graduación mucho más alta), sufrí mucho de dolores de cabeza y cansancio visual. Estaba un poco asustada porque creí que él pasaría por lo mismo, así que me mantuve muy pendiente de cualquier síntoma que podía presentar.

I hope you are doing great. It's been a week since my son got his glasses and I want to tell you how has been this adaptation using corrective lenses for the first time. As I mentioned a few days ago, my son has a little high myopia for his age (-3.50 in his right eye and -2.75 in his left eye) and at only 6 years old, I thought the fitting process would be difficult. With my experience, since at that same age I started wearing my glasses myself (although with a much higher prescription), I suffered a lot from headaches and eyestrain. I was a little scared because I thought he would go through the same thing, so I kept a close eye out for any symptoms he might have.
Pero para mi sorpresa, ¡no fue así! Los dos primeros días, los usaba una hora y luego una hora de reposo cuando me decía que le molestaban un poco las orejas por lo apretado que le quedaban. Esas fueron las únicas molestias que tuvo; nunca se quejó de dolor de cabeza ni de cansancio visual. A pesar de eso, quise que los primeros días fueran más graduales, de poco a poco. Sin embargo, después de esos dos días, él mismo quiso usarlos todo el día porque el cambio en su visión era notable y le gustaban mucho.
But to my surprise, it wasn't like that! The first two days, he wore them for an hour and then an hour of rest when he told me that they bothered his ears a bit because of how tight they were. Those were the only discomforts he had; he never complained of headaches or eyestrain. Despite that, I wanted the first few days to be more gradual, little by little. However, after those two days, he himself wanted to wear them all day because the change in his vision was noticeable and he liked them so much.
Ahora juega, lee y estudia con tranquilidad y confianza gracias al buen agarre de los lentes. Estamos en el proceso de lectura y es mucho más sencillo porque ve con claridad. ¡Incluso juega en la computadora en sus horas establecidas sin ningún problema! Me alegra mucho ver que esta etapa ha sido tan positiva para él. Y por supuesto nos ha tenido a nosotros para recordarles lo hermoso que le quedaron y lo favorecedor que es que los use
Now he plays, reads and studies with peace of mind and confidence thanks to the good grip of the glasses. We are in the process of reading and it is much easier because he can see clearly, and he even plays on the computer at his scheduled times without any problems! I am so glad to see that this stage has been so positive for him. And of course he has had us to remind him how beautiful they look on him and how flattering it is that he wears them!
