Tito Jackson’s Passing and The Jackson Family

I never knew someone like Tito Jackson will die this year but unfortunately that has to happen and it happened 5 days after I celebrated my own birthday. This caught me off guard for sure.

I really wasn’t expecting to feel this way about his death, but I think his connection with one of my favorite of all time Micheal Jackson is what made me feel really sad.

He dying feels like a piece of history just faded away and that's the same feeling I got when I heard the news of Michael Jackson dying years ago. The Jacksons have gone through some real pain in life. Losing a loved one is one of the most painful experiences and they've lost so many in just a decade.

I can't imagine how Tito's sons feel right now and I hope never to lose my own father anytime soon. It's very easy to forget these legends are actually fathers and brothers to someone just like how we too have family members.

The only focus is usually on their music, their fame and their impact but they're regular people with relatives like us.

Right now his kids are grieving, the same way any of us would if we lost a parent. That’s the part that makes it sadder when I see legends pass away.

The Jacksons have experienced so much loss already. Michael Jackson, then Joe Jackson and now Tito. The Jackson family is basically disappearing before our very eyes. That's really how fragile a legacy can be. Death is the end for everyone no matter how successful they get.

I'll just have to celebrate Tito’s music and his contribution to pop culture just like I did with Michael Jackson when he died. Rest in peace Tito Jackson
