I visited an old hospital built during the British era.
Hello friends hope everyone is doing well. Today my post is about a historical place in our area. I am introducing you about that place. First of all the name of this place is eye hospital. This place was built by the British government in our area. My house is in a district of North Bengal, Bangladesh. It is one of the hospitals in that district.
- It was built in the early British era to treat people's eyes. At that time, a big officer of the British government built this hospital. If you see the structure of this hospital, you will understand how big the hospital is.
First of all, this hospital is a four storied hospital. There were about 20 to 25 big rooms in the hospital. However, this hospital is currently abandoned. Different people come here to visit this hospital in our area. When I go to our area, I like to visit this hospital sometimes. Since the hospital is in an abandoned condition, another similar hospital has been built next to it by the Bangladesh government.
- So that people can get good eye treatment in this city. The campus is quite big. I heard that this hospital was built about 150 years ago. However, the structure of the hospital shows that it is very old.
At that time, people from North Bengal used to come to this hospital for treatment. There were many British doctors who were engaged in medical care of people. Also there is a big church from where people are given charity treatment. In this hospital I sometimes visit there with my friends. Also sometimes I go there alone to roam around.I like to visit the place as it is located in a beautiful environment. Because this place is abandoned, there are good trees around it, but people don't come here at night.
I'm also scared to come at night. I still remember when I was a child, I first came to this place with my father. He brought me to the hospital for eye treatment. When I came with him I told my father what this big building is in abandoned condition. He told me that it is a British period building.
- Bangladesh Department of Antiquities monitors this place very well. From this they have kept various medical items in the museum. However, I like the place very much. Hope you all like my post.
