Potato Yam in our vegetable garden!

It is a type of potato. Its name is Potato Yam. Although it is known by a different name in our region. It is known as pistachio potato in our region. But I found enum by google search. Although it is commonly known as potato, it is grown on the upper part of the plant. And the leaves of these plants look like betel leaves and these plants are climbing plants. Usually these trees are climbing on other trees. They are a beautiful and nutritious vegetable that can be cooked basically like potatoes. It tastes pretty good to me. Especially here they are cooked with fish.

Like every year this vegetable plant is planted in our house. But an interesting fact is that if this tree is planted once, new trees grow from the roots of that tree every year and these pistachio potatoes are produced on the tree. But one more interesting thing is that under the roots of this tree there is a very large pistachio potato yield which is underground and it is very big and it is very round or oblong in shape. They can weigh up to 20 kg. We have these vegetable plants planted near the roots of some trees and these plants grow on top of other trees. And with that came some yields. I like it very much. Moreover, the underground parts of the potatoes that are under the ground are very tasty to eat. However, they are elongated or round in shape. I photographed these while strolling through our yard yesterday.

How are you, dear friend @kawsar8035
I must admit that this is the first time I've seen a plant like this, it's great that its fruits are edible.
I'm surprised to know that such a large fruit can grow on its roots, weighing up to 20 kg. Thank you very much for the information.
