Feliz y bendecido Lunes estimados needleworkers, tengan todos un excelente inicio de semana. Estoy muy feliz de estar nuevamente en la comunidad para compartir con ustedes un nuevo proyecto a crochet. No se imaginan lo mucho que me alegra poder volver a tejer, aunque sea con menor frecuencia.

Happy and blessed Monday dear needleworkers, everyone have a great start to the week. I am very happy to be back in the community to share with you a new crochet project. You can't imagine how happy I am to be able to knit again, even if it's less frequently.

Hoy les comparto un proyecto muy especial, se trata de un lindo bolsito portacelular que elaboré para obsequiarle a una amiga muy querida quien está de cumpleaños el día de hoy. A mi amiga Yelitza le encantan los animales y es de esas personas que se dedican a rescatar animalitos de la calle para atenderlos y encontrarles hogar. Sus mascotas favoritas son los gatos, casualmente tiene un gato muy parecido a nuestro Giorno. Su gatito se llama Felipe y es una mascota muy consentida, es por ello que se me ocurrió tejerle este bolsito con una imagen de un gatito negro.

Today I share with you a very special project, it is a cute cell phone bag that I made to give to a very dear friend who has a birthday today. My friend Yelitza loves animals and is one of those people who is dedicated to rescuing animals from the streets to care for them and find them homes. His favorite pets are cats, coincidentally he has a cat very similar to our Giorno. Her kitten is called Felipe and he is a very spoiled pet, which is why I thought of knitting this little bag for him with an image of a black kitten.

Para la elaboración del bolsito utilicé hilo macramé de 2mm de grosor en color crudo y negro. Para lograr la imagen del gato trabajé este proyecto con la técnica de Tapestry Crohet, para ello utilicé un gráfico cuadriculado con la silueta del gatito. Este gráfico ya lo había trabajado antes con la técnica de macramé, pero es la primera vez que lo uso con la técnica de Tapestry. Es un patrón bastante simple y fácil de seguir, me encantaría realizarlo en diferentes técnicas de crochet, en especial con la técnica C2C para elaborar una manta.

To make the bag I used 2mm thick macramé thread in ecru and black. To achieve the image of the cat I worked on this project with the Tapestry Crohet technique, for this I used a squared graphic with the silhouette of the kitten. I had already worked on this graphic before with the macramé technique, but this is the first time I have used it with the Tapestry technique. It is a fairly simple and easy to follow pattern, I would love to make it in different crochet techniques, especially with the C2C technique to make a blanket.

El bolsito es super sencillo, lo que destaca es la silueta del gatito y el borde turquesa que decidí hacerle a último minuto. También coloqué accesorios de madera para darle un estilo muy artesanal.

The bag is super simple, what stands out is the silhouette of the kitten and the turquoise border that I decided to make at the last minute. I also placed wooden accessories to give it a very artisanal style.

Este proyecto me permitió darme cuenta de que debo practicar mucho más la técnica del tapestry crochet para lograr obtener acabados mucho más prolijos. No obstante, me encantó pasar mi domingo tejiendo y compartiendo con mi familia. Estoy ansiosa por ir a felicitar a mi amiga y entregarle su obsequio de cumpleaños.

This project allowed me to realize that I must practice the tapestry crochet technique much more to achieve much neater finishes. However, I loved spending my Sunday knitting and spending time with my family. I can't wait to go congratulate my friend and give her her birthday gift.

Welcome to crocheting again Katty. hehe. I know you miss it so much. Good to know your arms are good now.

By the way, this small pouch with a cat is beautiful. Though I have been crocheting for a decade now, I haven't done this tapestry crochet. I tried, but then gave up so soon after I got discouraged with the output I made. haha

I think your friend, Yelitza will definitely love it. Thanks for sharing this one Katty. And I wanna say sorry about not making any feedback of your post when you tagged me, I was busy attending to the orders, and as you see, I had also stopped posting here.
