MWM|| Tapete Ovalado a crochet (Intento #1)
Happy and blessed Monday my dear needleworkers, receive warm greetings. In today's post I share with you my weekend project. It is an oval mat woven with ecru wicker thread, with a red wine colored border.
This mat is the first project I made with the magazines I got as a gift a few days ago. Working with printed graphics again has been a very nice experience because I have been able to remember my first attempts with weaving. I must confess that this pattern is not so easy, since working with oval projects has always been a challenge for me, but I was encouraged to try it anyway.
Sometimes it is necessary to make some modifications to the original pattern in order to get a good fit, as the result may vary depending on the type of yarn and the size of the needle used to knit the project. In this case I used raw pabilo yarn, which is a little thicker than the one used for this type of decorative rugs and I could notice that my rug was much bigger than the measurements indicated in the pattern.
The most difficult thing about projects with an oval base is to achieve perfect symmetry at the edges. I don't like this part very much, since I have to knit and unknit until I get a good result. For now I decided to use pabilo yarn to practice the pattern a little bit, but I admit that the result obtained with this type of yarn is not the best one. For these rugs that have a purely decorative function, it is better to work with thinner yarns and with a little shine.
Although I was not satisfied with the final result, I can say that I loved doing this practice of reading charts and following patterns. Soon I will go out in search of a more suitable yarn to knit an improved version of this cute oval mat. For now I'll say goodbye until next time. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.

I must say that this pattern took your time to finish because it is not an easy pattern as you say, you always had many good and beautiful patterns to share with us, and you had a nice talent, this is beautiful ma'am, I love the color combination, well-done ma'am.
Thanks so much for your appretiation.
Wow, wow, wow.
You did great for creating your chance to deal with this project because looking at this pattern I strictly believe that it is not an easy project pattern I swear, and you had eyes for a beautiful color combination, it's so beautiful and nice, you are a great and professional crocheter, more wisdom ma'am.
Thanks so much for the nice comment.
